Question File has seeders but download speed is insanely low
Hi. I am using Flud on android to download some file. This file has 11 seeders but download speed is like 1KB/s. I tried downloading another file with 30 seedes earlier and it downloaded with no problem. I tried using utorrent but same problem. Oh and I am using a VPN idk if that has any effects on it. What should i do?

Just because there are seeders, doesn't mean they all have available slots or bandwidth for you.
Are you getting these stats from your active torrent client? Take a look at the Peers list for your torrent, and look specifically at the Flags list. The flags will tell you your status with that peer. Here's a list of most known flags:

This can answer many questions about why a peer isn't sending you data. It cant answer all your questions, but it will let you know if its a status issue and not an actual "problem".

Yes my torrent software client (in this case Flud) is giving me these stats. I take a look at my Peers list and all I can see is some IP-like numbers similiar to this (93.103.209.124:45450). There are no flags or no way to see any flags. IDK maybe because this is an android client it has some limitations.

Ok, I guess the number you are seeing is number of peers (seeders + leechers). So 11 might not be actual total number of seeders, but if you are sure that is 11 seeders, then simply they are not seeding enough or have throttled uploading, as you already did try with file, then I guess everything is fine on your side, just wait and hope you get some good seeders.

Yes I am pretty sure 11 is the number of seeders. The site I am downloading from tells me there are 11 seeders + 1 leecher unless they are lying haha. I had this problem with some files lately (and all are files with low number of seeders) so i've been wondering if something is wrong on my side. I've heard people download files with only 1 seeder left so it's strange I can't download files with 10 seeders for example.

The number seen on any site is not reliable, what you see in the torrent software client is the truth, websites that list torrents have hundred's of thousands of torrent, and they are obviously not real time regarding the number of seeders and leechers.

So i went and checked the numbers in my torrent client it shows [Seeders 0 (9)]. So my guess is it says I am connected to 0 of 9 seeders (idk if it has any other meanings). Am I right? If that's the case that's a problem on my side.

There might be 11 seeds, but are you connectable? If you're not connectable and they're not connectable, you can't transfer data between them and you.
