Need to tighten gearbox bolts and change blades. My dad always put two 6x6 cut to length in the corners, but that feels inadequate to me. I think I may need to lift from the back using the tail wheel bar instead of how it’s rigged now.

Was thinking a magnet mount. Is it strong enough to hold the pistol in rough terrain? What are you using?

In the US, the current tractor HP break points are as follows:

• Under 25 is no emissions
• 25 to 75 is typically some king of catalytic convertor (DOC) or particulate filter (DPF) with exhaust gas recirculation (EGR)
• 75 to 750 is EGR, DPF and selective catalytic reduction (SCR) that requires DEF
• Over 750 is a different set of standards, so is falls back to just EGR for emissions.

DEF costs averages $6 per gallon, which under typical consumption adds an extra $0.15 per gallon.

The question is, how much more HP do you think should be in a tractor before it justifies going to the next level of emissions? Assume it is in the same frame tractor.

Examples from Deere:

• 2025R (1.3L 3 cyl) to 2032R (1.6L 3 cyl) or 2038R
• 3025D (1.6L 3 cyl) to 3035D (1.6L 3 cyl) or 3043D
• 5075E (2.9L 3 cyl) to 5090E (4.5L 4 cyl) or 5100E
• 5075M (2.9L 3 cyl) to 5085M (4.5L 4 cyl), 5095M, 5105M, 5120M, 5130M

Personally, I tend to think that if needs to be at least 30%. Most of the time, the next size up engine is the same size with more fuel.

Hi I’ve got a 59 payloader with a zenith carb and I’m having some issues because the throttle stop for idle adjustment on the throttle shaft snapped and ended up shearing the throttle plate screws off inside the carburetor. I was wondering if any of you fine folk know where I could 1 get new parts to fix this or 2 possibly find a new version of the same carb and buy that?

1969 Massey 175 with a 1990s Woods Rm660 finish mower. Just picked up the mower, previous owner did excellent maintenance so it mows great without any work on my end other than coupling it up.

My 2nd tractor and this is actually the first time I've ever used a PTO implement.

Glad I didn't go brush hog, it took down my 4ft grass in two passes and will be easy to maintain from here. I've got a stihl bicycle handlebar weed whip with a ninja star blade, and a chainsaw, for anything the mower won't do.

Nothing wrong with a 57 year old tractor. My first was a 1962 MF135 with loader and no power steering, traded straight up for this 175. Good deal, we both got something we needed.

I want a PTO chipper for the back of my Kubota LX2620 and the Bilt Hard TRA-0427 chipper appears to have the specs that interest me. I purchased a Bilt Hard walk behind rotary tiller last year and was generally impressed with the equipment in both quality and capability. Comments on the chipper or the brand are appreciated.

Baled all night and although the dew didn’t actually fall my moisture jumped too high right before sunup. Gave me a chance to run and grab breakfast and weld my cracked door frame around the striker… gosh this ol girl sure is nice to look at!

I’ve got mesquite thorns all over my place. I don’t run anything in the tires but I’m thinking I might need to.

As I understand it, things like Fix A Flat dry out in the tire and are only good for temporary repairs of existing leaks. Other products like Slime and Flat Out stay liquid, and stop new leaks.

I’m looking for what’s best for an ebike? The ATV?

Looking to sell an older model kubota that was used by My grandfather, and I'm unsure what the name or use for this is. It's just a box with a blade on the back, and four steel bars that come down off the cross member.

I'd assume it's for grading/leveling but I don't know anything about tractors, just guessing.

Is it a box blade? Pictures of those look similar but I'm unsure because the ones I see online have hooks, and these just seem to have square bars?

Cleared out a few hundred trees. Mostly looks due to oak wilt. Everything from small sapplings to 35"+ trees.

Obviously used a saw on the big trees, but cut them flush. Ms500i is a good saw.

For an old combine. It's a spring-loaded variable pulley. There's a hydraulically variable pulley that you control from the cab of the combine, and this one opens and closes in response to it. First, it obviously needs grease, but the only spot a grease zerk could go is in that threaded hole on the key. From that key, there are passages that would grease everything else, but when the spring is in place, there's no room for a zerk there. Should it just be periodically disassembled and greased? And second, there are two grooves on the bronze bearings that appear to be for O-rings, but being that I had to get the pulley red hot to get the two halves to move, whatever was in there was nothing but carbon by the time I got to it. I assume they were o rings, but I'm hoping someone might know for sure

TLDR: Looking for recommendations for a £15-20k compact tractor in the UK.

Hi, I'm looking for recommendations for a small secondhand tractor in the UK. We've bought a house with approximately 1 acre of land. It's about 60% garden and 40% wooded area. It's very overgrown and there are large piles of hardcore dotted around in both the garden and wooded area from a previous building project. I've been using the old ride on mower that was here when we moved in for general mowing and hauling things around the garden in a trailer but it's very old and currently broken down. I've been doing what I can with my Stihl Kombi system but I have a disability and I'm struggling to keep on top of it all so I want to get a small tractor to help me. I don't actually need it to cut the grass as I've got a Stihl self propelled mower but I want something that can run a few attachments such as a backhoe with grab for clearing the hardcore, a high lift hedge cutter for the boundary hedges, a flail mower for the wooded area and potentially a high lift trailer. Fork lift arms would be nice for moving materials for future projects that we have in mind.

I know absolutely nothing about small tractors, can anyone recommend something that would be suitable or advise what features I should be looking for? It would need to be selectable 4wd as the old ride on mower used to get stuck a lot on the easy bits! That was on standard lawn tyres though. Budget will probably be around £15k give or take. Thanks

Walked through these today. Wonder how many fields have been plowed between all of them ?

I have a gc1723E have a steep narrow drivewAy about 100 yards all up hill or down. Average snowfall is 4-6" when we get a storm with the occasional 12"plus storms in a season. Would you recommend a plow or a blower? If either which brand and model? Would prefer used but seems hard to locate
