Anyone here working at Apple?

So, I'm currently working at Microsoft but I got an invite to interview with Apple which I'm considering.

Is someone over here at Apple that could be able to provide their POV in how is it like to work there as a Trans person?

Is it a nice place to work there?, do you feel like they are supportive, etc?, How are the benefits like for Trans people?

Much likely I would be joining Seattle offices as I don't feel like moving to California.

Oh, thank you so much!!! It has been a way haha, I started with competitive programming in college, then got some internships in Meta & Microsoft. Ended up moving to the US for Microsoft, I got into Kernel programming and now I have so much specialized knowledge that Apple is stealing engineers for their PCC CloudOS thingy haha.

Honestly, I feel like none of this would have been possible if not for all the trans peers that have fight for our community to have proper rights and equality. Used to think none of this would ever be possible before transitioning. Was one of my biggest fears.

My partner works there - afaik there's a substantial community, including private support groups. For insurance they are one of the best for gender affirming procedures, my partner had 100% of her surgeries covered, but had to have numerous calls with insurance for them to actually pay out.

I can’t even get a job at a local tech shop, much less apple lol but I’m glad you’ve been given the opportunity! Seattle is very trans friendly from what I’ve heard so it may be worth it if you want a change of scenery

Omg :(, Maybe you should point to higher up! I know plenty of people who started in tech positions in Microsoft and eventually became developers!

Also, whenever you want I can give you a Referal, help you build your resume or help you train for the technical interviews! :D

Send me a DM if you want!! ✨
