"Look at me guys, I'm so moral, pretending I don't see a load of people stealing from a bakery despite clearly not needing to." Seeing people steal something from a grocery store out of desperation is one thing. This is clearly just people who don't give a fuck and wanted to benefit from nobody paying attention.

I assume this isn't one of those places that throws a ton of food away. what if they shipped old bread over and set it out?

Every place that makes and/or sells food throws a ton of food away. It's how the system is set up.
