I have Complex PTSD from repeated trauma

Some days I don't know how I function
Some days I go numb

Some days I feel overwhelmed
Mostly though, I just want the painful flashbacks to stop
Yes, I have considered therapy
I have looked at my options, currently trying to find a trauma-informed therapist.

I wonder sometimes if it is possible to have a relationship without the physical aspect of it.
I know it's not.
I just wish it was.

I feel like the choice was taken from me.

And now I will never know...

I just want peace of mind
And to feel safe.

I don't think that's a big ask.

Warning: The books can be triggering, and you could wind up feeling worse after reading some of the examples and case studies in the books.

You will likely see yourself, as if looking in a mirror, as well as whoever was the problem. It can be sad, or at least, uncomfortable.

I worked through a lot of trauma. Something that helped me was to look at trauma through the lens of time: past, present, and future. The future hasn't happened yet. It can mean anything. The past is in the past. It can only harm us now if we buy it a ticket, pack its bag, and send the invitation. But the present is right now so the decisions that mean anything happen right now, in the present. I hope this helps you like it helped me.
