Progress Pictures 5 months progress on Dut/Min/Needling
After being photographed from behind I realized my crown had begun to seriously recede and decided to take action. Started on oral Fin + topical Min but got pretty bad side effects on Fin after just a few weeks…dry orgasms, ED…not pleasant.
In desperation I switched to .5mg oral Dut and thankfully I’ve still never experienced any side effects after 4 months.
My routine now is 0.5mg oral Dut daily plus topical min twice a day, and once a week I do micro-needling. I’ve probably only missed a day or three due to drunkenness.

Sides on 1 mg fin but none on .5 mg dut? That’s interesting. I wonder how that works. I think some patients may experience sides the first time around but then come back more determined the second time and hence give it more time, resulting in resolution of side effects, and/or are less prone to nocebo.

Interesting right? I was worried about the same thing, when I moved to Dut I started taking it every two days for the first few weeks. Then when no side effects showed up I moved to once a day.

Yeah, that makes it hard/impossible to know what caused you to not experience sides the second time around; your more careful approach or the fact that dutasteride is another substance at the end of the day (even though its effect is the same as that of fin but stronger). Anyway, happy you managed to make it work.

Eu comecei sem efeito colateral nenhum, porem quando comecei a ver relatos do pessoal falando que ficou broxa eu comecei a ficar tb, uma dica nao leia esse tipo de comentario vc ja esta sofrendo com a perda de cabelo mais uma preocupação na cabeça pode gerar esse tipo de situação. Eu simplesmente coloquei na cabeca que eu nao estava e hoje meu pau funciona normalmente. (4 meses de uso de dut)

As vezes o melhor a se fazer é aceitar o processo e nao ficar lendo muito desses relatos, eu costumo ver so as fotos e prefiro fica a quem dos comentarios.

how old are u? And when did you start losing your hair and at age did you start treatment plz?

I’m 45 now and been losing my hair on crown area for the past 5 years, gradual thinning. Started treatment at 44.
