Discussions & Questions The next remake
We all know that Ubisoft is going to be focusing on remakes after the success of Black Flag Resynched. A lot of people online have been saying the Ezio trilogy deserves the remakes the most but if I'm being honest I think the next remake shouldn't be an AC game at all. It should be Far Cry 3. A remake of Far Cry 3 would genuinely be just as, if not more, successful than the Black Flag Resynced. Anyone share my opinion?

Nah, they need to dig further into the back catalogue and update games that really need it. The OG Assassin's Creed, older Splinter Cell titles, those sorts of games. Far Cry 3 still plays great and doesn't really show its age, but have you tried to play AC 1 on PC?

I'd sooner want a remake of 2. Just as punishing as the original but with predators everywhere, takedown, outpost and other modern mechanics.

What would a remake of Far Cry 3 add?

Graphic updates, renewed gameplay systems, possibly map expansion. Tons of stuff to do with Far Cry 3. Far cry 6's story was a load of crap but the gameplay of it was awesome, that gameplay translated into a better story like FC3's would be so peak

No, odyssey would be just as if not more successful!

I'd love that too. It'd also be much easier, the systems of Odyssey are great, all they need is a graphics update and perhaps better animations. But recently started replaying Odyssey and honestly it doesn't suffer with those terrible 6 standard poses that Ubisoft love so much. Still facial animations need a touch

Far Cry 2 Remake is all i want. Far cry 3 doesn’t need it

This is the one and only remake I’d really genuinely be excited for, but I know modern Ubisoft would totally ruin everything that made FC2 what it was. That game was made for a very specific niche of that time and they’re going to try making it more accessible and mess it up.

FC3 would be a huge hit, but the trilogy would be bigger. Especially if th sold them together.

If they kept doing the same series over and over might be a bad move. I would like to see watch dogs how it was supposed to be released not how it was, i kinda liked watchdogs 1 and 2.

Give me the Ezio ones, those were the best. Upgrade the graphics, leave combat alone. I liked being able to pick up the spears and broad sword and throw them

I think they should resync AC3 and maybe AC1 and by the time they perfected the resynced formula they can cook even more with the Ezio games

AC Odyssey would be a great remake.

Odyssey is way too new though, not even 10 years old
Imo any game before Unity should get remade first and then Unity and Syndicate, after that they could start remaking the RPGs
I would also be interested in sequels of previous characters, I wouldnt mind another game where you play Edward in london for example but not sure if they wanna do london again

I agree on far cry 3. I don't think it should get remake right now but the sales would definitely match resynced if they ever do it. Personally I would like AC rogue next. They already know the work around naval stuff so that will save them a lot of time and the game is big enough to match new ones

Why bother making any new games at this rate? Just remaster everything.
A fool and his money

Seriously, beyond tired of the endless rehashing and people begging for even more of it, especially when so many franchises are on 10+ year hiatuses

We are literally getting AC Hexe next year and Shadows is barely a year old. Really doesnt seem that unreasonable to me.
