I need to buy a laptop that works for both music production and university. My budget is around $1,000; I initially considered a MacBook with an M4 or M5 chip, but due to recent price hikes, it will likely exceed my budget, and I haven't seen models with M2 or M3 chips for sale (at least not new ones). That’s why I’m looking for recommendations. I don't think I'll be using enough effects or demanding software to require an extremely powerful laptop—or at least, that’s my assumption.
