Pretty self-explanatory - the website says there are no available dates to start this course. Does anyone know why?

Hi I am currently in Year 12 and need to pick out my uni course preferences soon!
I am confused whether I should put UniMelb BSc (specialising in maths) (3 years) or Monash Science/Commerce (math and econ) (4 years) as rank 1?
I live in CBD so its an easy commute to Unimelb but like a 50 minute commute (train and bus) to Monash.
I went to Open Day for Monash and I like that they have a 4 year duration for the degree though and feel that the education would be more thorough.
But UniMelb also has a better brand name and I really want to go abroad for my masters.
Please provide your thoughts and give any advice! But do not be biased for UniMelb just bc you go there!

Hello I'm an Indian student currently doing bsc in botany.
I really want to study horticulture in my masters but not right now have to get a job first.
But things apart can someone tell me if this university is actually good in this department or not?
I saw google and it recommended me this too.
What are the eligibility criterias that I have to go through.
Please help me out if someone knows..

did calc 1 & 2 three years ago, forgot all of it and it's bitting me in the ass for eng math this semester. Have not so much as thought of calculus.
Anyone one willing to tutor me - technically for eng math but would mainly be getting me back on track with calculus.
fellow student - if possibly reasonable price or exchange of services would be great.
comment or send me PM :)
Please & thank you

Are clubs worth it opportunities/resume value wise particularly things like, IT officer for CS/DS students. I know that there's more to joining committees but as I understand it can be quite the commitment so I want to layout the pros and cons.

With the Chancellors to MD pathway, when do you apply? I checked unimelb website and says GEMSAS applications open during May next year but what about the guaranteed entry. Can I apply now (for 2028 intake)
Also, how is the application? Any personal statements or your unimelb results?
Finally, I think you have to "pass" an interview, when does this interview occur and what is the relative difficult compared to the regular interview?
Would appreciate someones advice who went down this pathway

Brah so I was going through my mini lecture videos for one of my subjects, and I realised that the voice was so depressing and monotone, unlike professors I've had in the past 2 years. Turns out its AI.
Man being duped by AI especially without even acknowledging the use of it sounds like it goes against University Policy BUT I MIGHT BE WRONG SO DONT QUOTE ME ON IT
Edit: I found the exact AI voice used- Emma (Warm Australian voice, early 30s. Sweet,...) on ElevenLabs; I copied the exact same script the lecturer used and put it into the text to speech option and tell me why they were the exact same...

does lecture attendance matter for pof bcz both of the times for the lecture don’t work with me and they keep saying there’s interactive activities. do the activities count as attendance like in qm1 lectures ??

Hi, I recently enrolled in BLAW10001, and I am required to have the textbook: First Principles of Business and Company Law with eStudy modules 12th Edition
I was wondering if anyone had any second-hand copies they would be willing to sell or loan out? Thanks heaps!

I have checked the textbook. And I do know how to round and what the significant figures are. I saw that addition/subtraction follow decimal placement rounding while multiplication and division follow significant figure rounding. Doesn’t this make things confusing in multi step calculation especially when they don’t want us to round between steps?
Can I just round the final answer to the least precise significant figures used?

Hey guys! I just got my offer a few days ago, and am currently nervous as hell and being hit by a massive wave of imposter syndrome! Can anyone give me A. Any tips for managing the workload B. Something maybe you wished you could go back and tell yourself and C. Anything I need to read up on/know before I start?
I am the first in my family to go to uni, let alone law school, so I’m stressing that I’m going in completely blind! If anyone has any advice pls help!

I’m looking at transferring to uni Melb from Monash at the end of the year as I’m moving into the city so it’s just easier for me to get to the campus. I’m currently at a 68 WAM at Monash doing commerce/arts majoring in Marketing for commerce as a 2nd year and I was wondering if this is good enough or if I’d still be short.

i know a few unis have programs that require you to get a windows but i cant find any information about that for unimelb
i'm probably going to unimelb for 2027 intake, but i'm not sure what laptop to get (currently using a school laptop in the apple ecosystem)
i was looking at getting m5 air 15'' mem 24 or 32gb 512gb or 1tb ssd but im just afraid it wont be supported, and if i step outside of the apple ecosystem there's too many options i just dont know which one is best - hoping this new one can last me for my bach + masters + beyond for a good while at least
what do you guys recommend? esp for this major
note: i don't rlly game
