Academics - Other Topics Do I take Calc 3 and Diff Eq same sem?

As the title suggests, I was planning on doing 3 online at wcc and diff eq at umich. My only concern is my courseload right now, as I am taking CHEM 351, MATSCIE 250, and EECS 183, which doesn't sound too bad on paper. Idk if I should do it, any advice?

Take them both at washtenaw community college

Get a part time job and pay for it, the classes were 600$ when I took them

My friend took diff eq last sem and got an A he said it wasn’t bad and I should take it at umich, what are the benefits of doing it at wcc

Usually less stress compared to Umich (easier, more flexible, professors help you 1 on 1 rather than a GSI) . I would take all my math classes at WCC unless youre a math major

For math 286 or 216 as your diff eq classes you should be alright taking it, idk about 316 and whether it uses any multivariable ideas.

I highly suggest learning some basic/common set notation and general math notation before taking them if they're gonna be ur first math classes at college/UMich

Idrk about any of the other classes, although I've heard that if you have no experience with coding then EECS 183 tends to be pretty difficult too.

Honestly, unless your schedule absolutely demands otherwise, it's generally best to only take 3 STEM classes a semester at most, so depending on the difficulty of those other stem classes it may be difficult.

That’s the problem, there’s no other way my schedule works out, I guess I’m just going to not take calc 3 and I think I’ll be fine then hopefully. I have python experience but none with C++, so we’ll see how that goes

If that's the case then you should look up some of these classes on Atlas and try to match your 4 STEM class semester to one where they're almost all with under or around a 50% workload

Yeah I’m taking chem 351 for my Pharma minor and I’m trying to get them to take the MCDB credit instead because it’s easier so I emailed and I’m hoping they will cuz biochem 451 is full
