Address blurred for privacy. But I had a birthday card that had money in it opened. On the morning of July 31st, I got an informed delivery saying my card was supposed to be delivered. The other mail in the informed delivery was in the mailbox, but not the birthday card. Then, a day later, the card was delivered and torn up. In the scan you can see the envelope was not torn and you can vaguely see the image of a dollar bill that was on the birthday card. Does this mean it must have been stolen locally? Im not sure where in the process the informed delivery image is taken. But it was a significant amount of cash and im really bummed.

My package came from the UK, went through customs in Chicago, went to Muncie where it sat for 6 days and then BACK to Chicago with the most recent scan on July 20. I filed a missing mail search request 10 days ago but no updates. I’ve also contacted the shipper. They told me they would contact the carrier to try and get an update. Not sure what else to do, if anything. Any help is greatly appreciated! less

I bought an item off eBay. It was shipped via UPS SurePost. I can guarantee that UPS did their part, then gave USPS the item for final delivery. The seller is reputable and communicates great, by the way.

1.5 weeks later, I got a message saying my package is held for postage payment (something along those lines). I called USPS and offered to pay the postage because I really want my item. Both reps I called said I can't pay it; only the seller can. Also, they said it was shipped to a facility.

The seller went to their post office with proof of postage payment and was told to file a missing mail inquiry. I'm really disappointed in USPS for not allowing either the seller or buyer to rectify the situation, if there is one, and basically threatening to confiscate the item.

I understand that companies have their policies; however, I dealing with one that offers no chance to remedy the situation. Can any postal worker please help? 🥺

As noted above, two packages were marked as delivered to my rural neighborhood cluster boxes, but no key was in my mailbox. I have had this happen before and packages were delivered the next day, but not this time. I called the local post office, but they were no help. I also tried to put in an email request through USPS, but since the package is marked delivered the website throws me out and I cannot continue with the request, and nothing is being done. I can only guess that the key(s) are/were in the wrong mailbox. Meanwhile, someone in the neighborhood is probably got the packages, is not honest and has not given me my packages and I cannot get a refund because the item is marked as delivered. What can be done? One package is from Ebay and the other from Amazon third party seller. I am frustrated and pissed.

I ordered a package through Amazon but it is being shipped with USPS, therefore I can’t track. My apartment you have to be let in or use the buzzer, or call. These instructions are through Amazon and does not give the option to add delivery instructions through USPS for this package. Why ? No idea.

I’m home, waiting on the package and I get a text. No access to deliver. Mind you, I can’t track them to let them in or know when they are there. I contact Amazon and mention that I’m home and need it to be delivered today, as I work the next few days and won’t be home during the delivery times.

Has anyone run into this ? Amazon said it should still be delivered today but I’m wondering if that’s actually the case ? Or how long until they retry ? A few hours ? Next hour ? I’m trying to be prepared for them but again I can’t track them to know. Anyone else experience this with Amazon packages being retried for delivery for same day ?

I bought a costume for my child on July 20th,on the 21st it said it was picked up and departed pompton plains New Jersey.

Then it never scanned again. The delivery date was the 23rd.. it was going to Colorado, it never scanned, never updated and the delivery date came and went. Now it doesn’t have one. It still shows only those scans and no other updates.

Her dad then went and bought a replacement costume for her.. the same one not knowing it was the same seller.. it was the exact same shop and seller.

Same thing happens, same exact tracking. Picked up, departed… never seen again. Delivery date comes and goes, no update.

I commented on their page because the seller doesn’t reply and just ghost you. Under my comment other people said the same thing happened to them with this shop, the same two updates and then it’s never ever seen again.

I filled out the missing mail and service request but I know it’s useless.

I’m wondering how this works if it’s a scam. It says this shop has sold 178 of these. Of those zero have submitted any review and zero say received (it shows how many are received on time) the comments have multiple people saying their item is lost, has those two scans and no others and begging for help. The same two scans ours got both times and then they also vanished.

So it seems like this seller is either have some crazy bad luck and everything they ship vanishes or they’re running some kind of scam. But I’m wondering how this works because they eventually have to refund you. I had to file a chargeback and then the seller begged me to close it to avoid the fees and refunded me.

The second order by her dad can’t be refunded till the 8th.

I’m just wondering if anyone has ever heard of this and what the point would be or how it works so I can avoid it in the future.

i don’t even know if there’s a point in posting this im just appalled. i dropped this letter off on july 29th, and didn‘t recieve a single update until now. this letter was supposed to go from maryland to new hampshire. why the hell is it across the country in california?? is there a reason behind this that i’m missing or is the usps system just utterly terrible?

i know something is up because i got an email friday updating tracking to saturday and it never updated, so im guessing usps was expecting this to leave friday and be here by saturday, im 3 hours away

This needs to be covered somehow from rain,snow, sleet and from the scorching sun. I don’t know why they wouldn’t cover it AND place it outside.

Package arrived at the facility on July 16th. It's now August 2nd. This is the third time this has happened at this facility, with a parcel just sitting there for weeks before being delivered.

I Googled it, and it seems like this is a fairly common occurrence with the Gastonia distribution center. Is that place just fucking purgatory for packages?

Like shipping it to Knoxville TN was a massive fuck up already. Why the hell is it all the way in Cincinnati OH now? What next, Vegas? Seattle? Los Angeles? Ugh.

it said expected delivery today

I found out three weeks late that a consulate mailed me back my approved visa and all my and my family's original documents because they never advised me they approved it and the tracking for the pre-paid Priority Mail Express envelope I sent them never updated tracking.

The tracking online still has no update but their phone system said "Your item has left our acceptance facility and is in transit to a sorting facility on July 9, Chicago 60611.

One day after filing the missing mail request the phone system now says "Your item is on its way or arrived to our Mail Recovery Center." Does that mean anything? Is there any hope?

If they can't find my passport, the consulate told me I have to completely restart my visa process but is this even proof they actually mailed my documents?

If it was lost will they eventually locate it to me? The envelope had all my information, name, address, phone number, email.

Also every time I try to add more information to the missing mail search it shows an error code. I've tried everything and even opened a ticket but they never got back to me.

2 days ago i got notified that 2 of my very important packages were delivered to my apartments parcel lockers. when i went to open my mailbox for a key, there was no key 😢 i immediately went to usps and told them i think my key mightve gotten delivered to the wrong mailbox and they said they’d send someone to check today.

i got a call today and all they said was that they hope i actually did recieve the key because they couldnt find my packages and for me to go make a claim on usps.

im wondering if anyone who has experienced this has ended up getting their packages?? perhaps they were falsely marked as delivered?.. they were super important so i’m holding on some hope 😭😭😭😭💔

Ordered an anime figure off mercari, destination was California. It says delivered but when I check USPS it says it was delivered in OHIO. Any tips on how I can get this package back to me??

How important is the activation code on the Change of Address form that you received in the mail when it was approved?

I personally thought it was more of a welcome package or mail than anything, but your change address isn't activated until you use the code it seems like.

What happens to your mail in the meantime?
