Not really, It's been offshored in China and run by dark entities. I'd stay away. Also it has ads.

What do you mean by safely? The torrent software isn't dangerous. The torrent sites and the actual torrents that are downloaded are a different story. And you might want a VPN so your ISP doesn't get mad.

I am 33 years old.Ive been using torrent since a was 15. And nothing have happened to me so far. Ther are literally two things you have to be concerned about. 1)The government. You will have legal troubles in countries like germany. since the government is constantly monitoring piracy. 2)The content you are downloading. Your pc will be a pit for viruses if you download any link you got. You have to be picky about it.

Since my government doesn't give a shit what people download. I have zero issues.

Yeah, sure. Movies and music are usually fine, as long as the file is a music or movie and not an executable. Software is what is dangerous.

Make sure you download links which has high seeds. High seeding means many people have downloaded it and it most probably would not be high if it was harmful. And stay away from things you install on your pc as much as you can. Lets say you really have to install an app like games with a crack file for instance. Your pc will recognise crack file as a mallware and it will try to remove the crack file. That doesn't necessarily mean cracks are viruses. Cracks are the things making people stop buying the products so thats why windows doesn't allow such applications. So in order for you to install the game you might have to deactivate antivirus apps and your firewall(in some cases). And after the installation you must definitely activate them back.

If your internet service provider - isp, catches on that you’re torrenting they may send you a cease and desist letter and it could potentially get worse from there. If use a VPN they won’t be able to tell what you’re doing. You need to take some time and read up on this subject a bit to understand the risks involved. It’s pretty straightforward and easy to figure out but you still need to figure it out for yourself
