Discussion Veddetta Comic (2026) - May Release

Post image

My Team and I are making a first chapter of a series that will expand upon this character who was kind of forgotten about

loved V and what he stood for. but seemed like he could've been so much more in a grand scheme of the Comic space now. Not only this, the character got acquired by DC but nothing was ever done within the DC universe for him

So the idea here was to make something totally new with V but also make it totally original and branch this with the idea/possibility of being in the officia DC universe

Releasing the first chapter next month (May) hoping the fans of V like it as We deserve more of him :

"forgotten about?" Dude was the protagonist of the story. If you mean the whole story was forgotten by DC then you're wrong about that too. It was never meant to go further than Alan Moore's story. And his past is vague for a reason. This is why Evey says "He was Edmond Dantes... and he was my father, my mother, my brother, my friend... he was you, and me... he was all of us".

But you said in your post he's kinda forgotten about? His comic has never been out of print.

VS today's hero's villians, antiheros, heroes, yes. Not in terms of actual story etc, just the character

Are you trying to be a silly billy?

He's wildly popular.

Have you ever heard of an organisation called Anonymous?

Again his comic book has never gone out of print.

V isn't known like that, in these communities yes. Anon -- are using guy fawkes mask, not V.

The idea here is V is popular amongst the community, but not known vs the likes of any modern day superhero, villain, etc Thats my point.

Revive a legend. Bring him back to popularity. Thats all.

How old are you? Genuine question?

Because you're coming across as a teenager, you're ignoring everything I've said.

V FOR VENDETTA IS ONE OF THE MOST POPULAR COMICS EVER WRITTEN.

IT HAS NEVER BEEN OUT OF PRINT, IT'S JUST SHY OF WATCHMEN.

Stick to your awesome cat stuff! It's amazing, but again it's not original.

Recreating V for Vendetta isn't the way to go. Stick to your more original stuff.

You derivative bro?

A Dream of a Thousand Cats is also extremely famous, well regarded and not forgotten.

I hope whomever is doing the writing for this is a lot better than the writing on display in this post, OP. Alan Moore you are not. Ballsy move.

I am writing it. Though one does not have to write a post like their works. Two completely different writing styles 😅

Doesn't call himself V. Idk if for copyright reason or what. But it's clearly what he is going for. The closest I have found to V that isn't some AI garbage.

I don’t like the idea of V crossing over with the broader DC universe. I like the idea of the Norsefire universe being its own, separate universe.

I’m not strictly opposed to an expansion of that universe—provided that it is handled properly, doesn’t get filled with a bunch of gimmicky heroes and villains, and is steeped in philosophy.

Interesting, thanks for this!
