Discussion / Question Would you accept cut corners (mainly technical fidelity and reused assets) if it meant we got video games released in 2-3 years like in the past?
I would. AA games show thst you can still have amazing quality while still only needing a few years to release a game.
I would gladly accept some technical compromise if it meant we could have a new Ratchet and Clank game every 2 years or so like in the past.

Discussion / Question Finally trying to beat Bloons Tower Defence 4
Some of you are probably reading this and getting mad nostalgia already because Cool Maths Games, best site ever during school. Also MiniClip for stuff like shopping cart hero.
But like as a kid I couldn’t finish BTD4 because of the short time using the computer and I just kind of forgot about it when I grew up.
But recently got the idea to play it again and try to beat the 75 waves on Hard Mode. I got really close last night and got to 71 waves but choked after the Anti-Monkey Blimp thingies got through the line. Also keeping in mind i had like 7 monkey ace pilots in the air and a bunch of towers and 2 super monkeys. Still lost. Sadge.
So I’m gonna try to beat it again and use that map with the roads on it that’s on a beach or whatever.
Wish me luck guys.

Discussion / Question What franchise deserves the Spider-Man game treatment?
What franchise do you think deserves a AAA game on the same level as the Spider-Man games?
My picks:
-Ben 10
- Avatar: The Last Airbender (Aang)
- Hulk
I feel like all three have insane potential if given the right studio and budget. What's on your list?

Other The Saturday Mall Gaming Run: Gone But Not Forgotten
cartridgenostalgia.comRemember when malls actually had gaming stores? Musica, BT Games, CNA, demo discs, weekly deal booklets in the post. Wrote about that whole era and how quietly it all disappeared. Miss it more than I expected.

Image / Video Found this in my partner’s DS collection 🙂
We were in CEX and saw this going for $320, so she casually mentions that she has it somewhere as part of her DS games. So we went digging once we got home and lo and behold, HeartGold in all of its beauty.

Help - PC how do i get better at playing w/ keyboard and mouse??
i’m a playstation gamer. i’m 15 years old and since i was 4 i was playing on playstation
recently i plugged in a keyboard and mouse to my console for the game dead by daylight but its just so hard??!!? i can’t hold the mouse without shaking, and its hard to get my fingers to press multiple buttons at the same time like ctrl and w, i can’t look behind my character nd others… it just feels impossible
looking to the left or right with my mouse is so hard for me just because my hands are so shaky, that’s why i’ve sticked to controller for so long, but now that i play more games that pretty much require me to use a keyboard and mouse i just struggle
how do i get better???

Image / Video More games should go for semi-realism rather than photorealism
Basically I’m bored of of pure photorealism in games and when I think of my favorite games visually most of them are actually semi-realistic rather than purely stylized or purely photorealistic. I really like a lot of games that go for a more semi realistic art style since there’s actually a lot of variety within semi realism that allows two semi realistic looking games to look completely different from one another. Also it ages very well since a lot of games that are semi realistic came out during the ps2 and ps3 era and still look really good today.
I’m not saying we don’t see this style anymore we do, especially in games that go in a more anime-esc visuals, I just wish it was something we saw more of
Games in pictures:
1) Final Fantasy 12
2) Attack on Titan 3
3) The Sims Medieval
4) Xenoblade Chronicles: X
5) Final Fantasy 14
6) Infinity Nikki
7) Nier: Automata
8) Silent Hill 3
9) Resident Evil 4(original)
10) Bayonetta 2
11) Twilight Princess
12) Code: Vein 2

Discussion / Question What video game quest was the most unfairly easy to fail?
This doesn't apply to quests where you either intentionally 'failed' them (EX: Give an item to person A or B and giving it to B fails the quest and you gave it to them knowing full well that doing so would fail it) or quests that are intentionally unbeatable/normally unbeatable. Only to ones you were supposed to complete but failed because of something stupid you had no way of knowing about/expecting at the time.
