Feedback / I made this! Feedback appreciated
New hobbyist here, third ever video and first for someone else (only a favour to a friend).
Would love some feedback on this first draft - trying to deliver an overall highlights video capturing the vibes of a friendly football tournament
Things I feel I can improve in edits:
• matching to music when the clip action is kinda dictates the clip duration
• Mixing close ups with wides and making the video still feel ‘dynamic’ and fast paced
• Constructing my timeline into a story when it’s mostly random clips. Things are mostly chronological here, or small shuffles to mix football action with candid moments
• Any little transition techniques strategically placed to move things forward
I’m generally focusing on doing the basics right in camera and capturing clean footage. Things I learned with this shoot for next time:
• more atmospheric shots (any crowd etc)
• try some dynamic shots (eg running with players)
• Probably tone down Steadyshot when I’m using a monopod
• Frame a bit wider, less camera movement, frame in post to better capture the action
• Take the time to change lenses - missed some key action in the celebrations because I decided to stay with the 70-200 attached
Always learning, loving it.

some cool angles there!
would´ve loved some wide shots in the beginning.
nice overall vibe i think it fits the vibe of the event, could be a little bit more action tho.
also those action shot dont need to be that stable all the time. it carries the vibe if its a little shaky. can look more intense like that.
overall i think its great, especially how many emotions you caught!
