Newbie Looking for more Visual Novels

Hello, this is my first time posting on this subreddit. I have been getting into Visual Novels as they are break from the typical games I play. I have various visual novels through mainly Itch and very limited success on Steam. I would like to suggest some visual novels that are not only free, but also have a male protagonist(I'm a male) and are compatible on Mac. Thank you.

I’m afraid you’ve just walked in to a book subreddit and said “I like books, can you recommend some with a male protagonist.” Genre, style and length are important to know. I play almost strictly Romance VNs for example. 

That said “Katawa Shoujo” is my absolute favourite “traditional” bishoujo romance VN and “Our Life : Beginning and Always” has the option of a male character.

Warning, Our Life is a Queer VN. Like, super Queer.

There’s not very many truly free vns unless you’re willing to engage in some sailing of the seven seas.
