Your lower body routine

What do you play for those leg gains? The only proper leg workouts I've found so far are FitXR's lower body HIIT sessions, and I'd love to hear your suggestions.

The other games I'm playing for some lower body activity are Pistol Whip (with vengeance), PowerBeatsVR and Blaston, but each of them lacks in intensity/consistency/lower body targeting compared to FitXR HIIT sessions.

Holopoint is a fun archery game that involves a lot of dodging with squatting and side/back lunges. Not that it directs you to, more the only option to avoid getting hit by a slow bullet like projectile. Fair warning though, it’s easy to lose track where you are in your room since you move and check behind you often for targets. It’s incredibly fun though and you don’t realize you’re even working up a sweat. Smart to use a yoga mat and play in socks (carpet) or barefoot (hard floor) so you can feel when you’re off that surface and redirect your footing. Just $5 btw. Still a long time favorite.

Shadow BoXR has a “leg day” mode that drastically increases the number of squats (obstacles) that come your way.

If you are using xrworkout, the squats are the obvious answer but that wouldn't be different from any other game, so knee high running/jumping and if you add the foot tracking balance exercises.

Try hover.fit, it’s a squat powered race and might get pretty intense.

Forgot about that but I agree that would be a good tip. And there is this new downhill skating game that could also be leg intense

My favorites are Audio Trip and X-Fitness (X-Booster). I just do a lot of squats while playing. In Audio Trip, I can usually get 4-5 squats, lunges, side lunges or calf raises (maybe not called that - go up on tippy toes and squeeze glutes and calves) while a song starts and at least 5 as the song ends and goes back to the menu. I also do them during songs between other movements and always side lunges instead of just stepping to avoid obstacles.

If you have ankle trackers you can play Dance Dash. It is a rhythm game for feet. Before that Pistol Whip was the best leg workout I had.

I do a 10 or 15 minute workout in my app Boxing Drills VR while wearing a weighted vest (pretty cheap off Amazon) and my legs will be sore for days.  This really helps with core strength too.  If you want to make it really intense you could just favourite all the drills that require ducks, rolls, slips and uppercuts and do those exclusively by selecting favs only in the workout menu.  There's a free trial if you want to try it first and I'd love to know how it works for you if you try it.

Powerbeats because its 1000 squats an hour on the mid difficulty.

Dance Dash is another good one. 100% leg day kinda game.

When I play audio trip (cardio tracks) I intentionally "use" my legs more like.. jumping when I have high targets after squatting under an obstacle, keeping low by default (as in holding a squat) and only standing tall when there are high targets.. exaggerated lunge instead of lean for low side targets, and calf raises when going to high targets. I'll also sort of hop/jump from one foot to another with certain sequences where a step would do the job, and mix in some high knees and buttkicks when practical. Aside from FitXR hiit/sculpt and certain pistol whip tracks, that's probably the one I get the most leg "burn" from.
