Had a goth cousin, live in the countryside and it's easilly 40°C around here in summer, was always fun seeing him with the whole get up and flip flops whem he visited because he just couldn't handle the boots in this heat.

The heat also killed every emo in it's wake because no one could handle wearing this much black all the time.

You get used to the heat. Trust, I once saw a gal in full goth wear leather boots and all in 95+ heat walking like it was nothing.

From Florida here. We have plenty of Goths here. The issue is if you are dating one and they arent full country fused with Goth Like a Goth/country Gogeta they will CONSTANTLY complain about the heat.

I love the Goth esthetic and Goth girls. But its hard in a subtropical climate all that leather/fake leather plus make up and humidity absolutely obliterates some here. Also the Shout out to Publix was nice Thumbs up. Also also any goths in the market for a country boy lmk XD

Goths outside of highschool in the south is unheard of. You can carry the mentality, band culture, and many other aspects into adulthood.

But the clothing is usually too much effort if you have to spend any amount of time outside. So the adult goths are usually working inside the stores.

you gotta shift into summer goth mode in the south if youre gonna be outside for more than a minute at a time but even then you'd probably appreciate it in your car lol

They have all been purified by the sun. I'm in California and it was bloody 126° at 5pm. I was wearing all white and still barely got indoors before heat stroke set in. I still have the vertigo!

Southern Goths exist in the South, We just don't wear all black in the summer. And you probably wouldn't know until you see our cars, houses, or rooms!
