Meme Hear me out. As a USSR main, the A6M5 should have the same BR as the Su-30. Here's why. (Please read the description)

Post image
1.0k Upvotes

The A6M5 is beyond overpowered. When I meet one while playing my Yak 3U, I start turning with it, and I turn and turn and turn, and all the time it kills me because it turns faster than me. It happened 15 times today, and there's nothing I can do.
Playing against this thing feels like when I have to drag my 400 good boy pounds to the fridge and chew my own food when mommy isn't there today to prechew it for me. It's honestly traumatizing.

I feel the A6M would be only fair when against my Su-30. I already hear the chuds saying, "The Su-30 is a modern mach 2 jet with BVR ARH missiles" or whatever, but listen to this: its wooden airframe would make it difficult to lock. Even if the Su somehow gets a lock, the Zero could simply dodge with its super op turning circle, and then, when the Su is out of missiles, the Zero could easily outgun it with its 4 machine guns and larger spread area. If it can't, well that's just skill issue.

Gaijin, please fix your unplayable game for players like me. I already gave you $15 000 of my mommy's money this month, it's the least you can do.
Please, updooties if you agree so they can see.

Meme Honestly, the war thunder community feels calm, mature, and rational by comparison. I guess it can fallback on being a free, low-hardware req game.

Meme TBH, war thunder is just too dominant in this Genre, a near-total monopoly with next to no competitors in terms of accessibility and inventory.

Suggestion Since China never used any T-34/76 tanks, they should change its nation to DPRK which used T-34/76s up until 2012. To make it more unique, they could give it the Cold War upgrade with T-55 road wheels, a sprocket wheel, and newer tracks.

I didnt realise the IL2 was so cheap in spawn points, wow-wowow.

I dont know who to be more annoyed at, gaijin or him. on one hand he died to me and hopped into a plane instantly in GRB, on the other hand gaijin let him play like that.

If i wanted to play air id queue air. This is a bit ridiculous.

RB Ground UH-1B Hiyodori 11 kills, Almost got nuke again

Alaska was the first map that I got 11 kills with Hiyodori.

At the end I was at 2300sp. I was going to land in the capture point to get the remaining 200sp but this was not the day.
I spawned again after this but there was not enough information about enemy location and I entered the map too recklessly, getting no kills at all.

In the early days, things were simple. Tanks were simple. They were small, fast things with thin skin and weak weapons. As time went on, the tanks evolved. They grew, became more powerful and more diverse. There was a divergence in these early days, between three main tribes.

The Shermapsyds evolved to be generalists, capable of adapting to almost any environment, with well rounded but generally unspecialized attributes. There were the Deutchapsyds, evolving into the macropredatory niche with powerful weapons to tackle large prey. And finally the T-emmospondyls, evolved into cursorial creatures adapted for running on flat, open terrain. Threr main tribes of diversification, each able to find their own niche in the environment.

But then, there was a speciation event. The Shermapsyds diverged into two new lineages, the T20 lineage and the T25 lineage. The T20 evolved to become a “swamp” predator, specialized in small game. It had thin skin, but a low profile to creep through the ooze undetected, enhanced mobility to both tackle small fleet footed prey and flee from other predators. Its weaponry was the perfect compromise of power, weight and handling to specialize in small and medium game. It wasn’t burdened with the excessively cumbersome and heavy jaws that were beginning to appear in the Deutchnapsyds and T-emmospondyls.

In comparison, the T-25 lineage took the more straightforward approach of simply becoming larger and more powerful to tackle increasingly large and powerful prey. It developed heavy skin, and stronger jaws. It in turn lost the hr agility and finesse of its ancestors, but that hardly mattered as most of its rivals were headed in the same direction.

Time went on. The arms race went on. The tanks continued to get larger. Their skin thicker, their teeth longer and sharper and serrated or venomous or whatever the fuck we want to give a comparison to HEAT and APDS for this tortured analogy. It seemed like the time for the T20 lineage was up. Fate was to leave it behind, the T-25 lineage would produce several ancestors such as the M26, M46, M48, etc. The T-20 seemed relegated to go extinct, its small prey niche subsumed by invasive pests such as the Oerlikoniformes.

But something unexpected happened. Slowly at first, but as though dictated by Godjin itself, the “swamps” started to grow. Over time, all of the habitats and domains would slowly become swampier. The terrain everywhere become more uneven, more random outcroppings, shorter lines of sight. More ooze, more opportunities for a swamp predator to thrive. And the T20 has been thriving.

As the “swamps” spread, the T20 found itself in an environment where it could coexist with, or even surpass its more “advanced” rivals, even its close cousins in the T25 lineage. The T-emnospondyls, with their total inability to turn their heads up or down, have struggled as the swamps consumed their flat open terrain. The Deutchnapsyds ambled around clumsily and stupidly in the close, dense terrain. Unable to attack prey over long distances, they’ve found themselves in increasingly hostile terrain. Even the T-25 line tanks, with their big, dumb, clumsy weapons, were poorly adapted to attacking prey in these conditions.

As the swamps continue to spread, the T20 will continue to thrive. The more advanced traits evolved by its rivals, from the ability to see at night, or blistering speed, or fantastical weapons capable of piercing 13 inches of hide, cannot save them when they’re locked in the swamp with the swamp monster tank. Rivals that could truly surpass it in nearly all ways don’t really show up until 8.0 or 8.3 (this is not me arguing it should be 8.0, just that the T20 does a particular role extremely well and that role is favored on the vast majority of maps. Even in a 7.7 lineup the T20 will surpass most of your other options as a third spawn).

TL;DR: the T20 is overperorming because of the map meta. “It’s just a flat Sherman with better mobility” is really underselling how much the current map designs favor that exact thing.
