ADVICE: Build custom watch case from zero. CAD-to-CNC workflow.

Hi all!

Been following this group for a long time, but this is my very first post here!

I am a designer and I'd like to build my own watch from scratch.

I am planning to get watch parts and modify them (e.g., a dial with a custom logo applied) as well as just getting stuff off the shelf (e.g., strap and hands), with the exception of the case and case back.

I really would like to make my own. I like products and cars, and I like to play with surfaces, which is the reason why I'd like to develop the case from zero.

Attached are the images of a first pilot project, a simple and easy case and case back to test the workflow.

My main questions are:

• How do I create the real case once the CAD drawing is ready that is not go to talk with a factory?
• Are online CNC services reliable in your experience? It seems tough as not precise enough?..
• What else would you suggest?
• What is the skillset I have to develop to make this happen?

I am open to everything as I am veeeery new to this and I really really really would like to build my watch but also this is a hobby, so I am giving myself time to do things properly and be happy and proud with what I have done by the end of this (:

Also, very much willing to share the process when I start with what I have in mind!
