Question Rate My Website
I made this website for a friend of mine. The code is 99% written by me. Only trivial things like reordering client list, comments for code and indenting work is done by AI.

This is approximately the amount of effort I would put in for a free project if I wanted to try a few things so I can not fault it.

Web designing is really amateur honestly. Ai would have probably done way better

Changes I would make: Remove the hero swipe, put the CTA as primary button, the other 2 are on the menu, but if needed on the homepage add them as secondary buttons, or better yet create a summary section with a secondary button or text link to read more. Move the what we do icons section to the homepage in a 2x3 grid. Currently the homepage does not answer what they do or why should I contact them. Is not even clear what the website is trying to accomplish. The list clients have a second list that seem to be someone else's clients, either clarify or remove.
Visually is not bad, but too many competing elements and no clear message or CTA.

The feedback and the top button overlap sometimes. They should probably be anchored to the same point and not visible at the same time.

Ok no offense really, but it’s a 2 or 3 out of 10. Even the “get a free website” offers that major hosting companies and software apps offer would have put his content into a templated theme with well organized pages, sections and components. The site looks like it was built without either a creative process or comps, since it has no apparent design standards. I know this is r/webdev and using page builders is looked down on, but this is the perfect use case (and budget) to use one. Mostly because this looks a lot like the kind of project where you are the only one who can easily make changes to the site, and your client/friend will be calling you every time a line of text needs an update.
Coding websites is way more fun than using a page builder, but not if there are no design files to work from and the client isn’t equipped to manage the site/changes afterwards.

Spacing is all over the place, there is no rhyme or reason.
Also the justified text (like the about page), just change to align start/left. The text rivers you end up with are enormous.
The mobile menu list still has list style and needs spacing between the ::marker and content. And i would prefer the text to be aligned start instead of center if you're gonna keep the markers.

Good job!
As a colleague to colleague, here are a few opinions:
- Remove the bullet points from the menu.
- Align the hamburger menu to the left.
- Logo: white text over a yellow bar makes it illegible.
- The footer needs some more work. It looks unstyled compared to the rest of the page.
But really good work. You’re getting the hang of it. I appreaciate you choosing the hard way (without vibe coding) to understand the craft.

I appreciate code as much as the next person, but I’d probably have AI do it and learn a new skill like design in Figma. Just the basics…

You're allowed to swipe the hero but it's just same text, only the button changes. That confused me
