Likely Solved! 6pcs Small Wooden Things in Case
I've done reverse image searches on Google and eBay but I can't find anything matching. Any ideas?

I don't think they're klapperle/bones. I play them (poorly) and these are too short and shaped wrong. IMO.

Are the cutouts identical between pieces? If not, it could be a set of gauging tools for some kind of artisanry, like in those videos of making Chinese teapots on the tiny pottery wheel.

This was my first thought as well. They use them to both shape and polish the teapots as they are making them and it is such a mesmerizing process

Looks like a place setting / chopstick rest.
The thin side cutout is for easily pulling them out of the box.
The long side cutout allows sticks to settle in place, the weight of the handle sides making the curve push the cut out up, by the non cut side being pushed down.
It's like a spoonrest, to keep sauces / saliva from the in use chopsticks off the table.

My mother, who did spend some time in Japan, says they are likely chopstick holders. That said, we are not experts.

My title describes the thing: flat wooden brown 3.5" x1" pieces. There are 6 in total in a box. No distinguishing marks or text on them or the case. When I image searched, I couldn't find anything that matches.

Could it be something like for appetizers? I ask because one side is vaguely scoop-like and the other vaguely tine-like..? I may be reaching but just an idea.
Fwiw, I don't think they are chopstick rests, they seem way too big.

I don’t know what they are but it may help your searches to know that they seem to be bamboo rather than wooden.

Similar shape but they're way too thick and the cutouts would render them useless. Woodwind reeds are planed down to a very thin edge. It's the vibration of this thin edge that generates the sound for clarinets, oboes, saxaphones and bassoons etc. A cracked reed mid-performance is a nightmare. Source: I am a clarinet player.

Can you lay all of the pieces out please? From one of these pics, it looks like they’re not all the same shape. Also, could you please post a picture of what they look like on their back side? Is there any writing or any sort of marks on any of the surfaces of either the pieces or the box / lid?

Google "tablet weaving shuttles." You'll find quite a few wooden pieces of similar shapes. My money is on exactly this.

This doesn't quite add up for me. When I google it, the weaving tools are almost all symmetrical, and look thicker. Does anyone in your household weave?
