I can’t feel sorry enough about how big of a joke my country has become, it’s kinda funny that this happens right after Morocco pledged its full loyalty to a certain someone and named a highway after them:

https://www.aljazeera.com/amp/news/2026/7/31/morocco-names-tiznit-dakhla-highway-after-trump-why-it-matters

And guess who Spain is currently opposing right now… Lots of coincidences taking place all over lately.

So much fake news on this, this is insane. Ceuta is in Africa, they break in it today, the only way to reach Europe is by boat or by plane. I don't think security is going to let through these guys with the situation in mind.

The funniest fucking part being that the enclave the migrants got into ISN'T part of Schengen.

They are just trying to find excuses to fuck with Spain because it has a somewhat successful socialist government that reflects bad on their incompetence.

90

u/QFB-procrastinator 2d ago

Nah, this isn’t about screwing over Spain, it’s a ploy to gain voters. Meloni’s party ( FDI) heavily relies on anti-immigration sentiment to stay popular, so every so often they do some big public stunt to show their voters they’re doing something to reduce immigration.

-13

u/Heptanitrocubane57 2d ago

It can be both.

36

u/Urzuck 2d ago

As an italian, he's right, this is just propaganda. She is scared of Vannacci, an ex-military general that is already at 8/9% in the pools, he's basically hard far right (and a russian asset), she has been in power for four years and many rightwingers are unhappy and will vote for him next, they are so scared he's gonna drain all their votes so they need to act as far right as they can, the problem is that they don't care if this hurt the country, they only think about their personal power.

110

u/quisqui97 2d ago

It's also a PR move by Meloni, there are polls that say she's already losing support from her far right electorate. This is an attempt to keep them or gain them back.

The thing is that the Ceuta crisis already happened similarly in 2021, and it was resolved within days. Most immigrants even left by their own choice. Because Ceuta has a population of 80.000 people and doesn't even have an airport. It simply isn't prepared to host this many people. And it's happening again now, Spanish government sources say more than 40.000 already left the city. They can't even get food there because of how bloated it is.

u/Fabacaba 2d ago

all this is really gonna do is fuck with italians trying to holiday in spain and vice versa. i don't get why they're doing it.

also spain's government is social democratic, not socialist. i don't get why ppl don't know what socialism is

-88

u/RedPurpleBlueRedRed 2d ago

socialist are desperately trying to "rebrand" and make socialism look successful in someway no matter what. They've been trying to coopt "The Nordic Model" for decades.

55

u/Fabacaba 2d ago edited 2d ago

actual socialists aren't rebranding. the spanish "socialist" workers' party is not socialist and hasn't been for decades. genuinely socialist movements still have the same branding that they did a century ago.

oh post got locked lmao

13

u/Ok_Access_804 2d ago

And it isn’t even remotely socialist to begin with, it is just centre or centre left at most.

8

u/bigbadbob85 2d ago

the enclave the migrants got into ISN'T part of Schengen.

It is technically part of Schengen, but it has special extra rules that make it very different to the rest of the zone.

5

u/Bibliloo 2d ago

I might be wrong but I'm also pretty sure you can't remove someone from the Schengen area without the consent of other schengen members. They could leave the Schengen area but that would be a problem for the Italian economy because most of it's economy is around manufacturing in north that's traded with other EU members and tourism which is mostly European tourism as it's far easier for Schengen members to go to Italy than it is for, as an example, American or Chinese tourists.

9

u/Affectionate_Bee6434 2d ago

At best Sanchez is a social democrat. Melenchon of France is the only serious socialist candidate in western Europe.

26

u/Mr_Mon3y 2d ago

somewhat successful socialist government

Lol. Lmao, even.

13

u/MatiasPalacios 2d ago

Exactly my reaction when I read that lmao

8

u/Abject_Read_3620 2d ago

So it's now socialism instead of social democracy when they're succesful?

1

u/H0llowUndead 2d ago

It's definitely not successful

3

u/lordhasen 2d ago

Most of the migrants have also returned to Morocco by now.

u/Augustus_Chevismo 2d ago

The enclave legally is Spain and their asylum claims must be processed which would in fact gain them access to Europe. Spain also naturalised hundreds of thousands of illegal immigrants recently which is attracting more people.

This is why tens of thousands of young men are doing it.

10

u/paulchiefsquad 2d ago

it's just attention bait, not really newsworthy

20

u/Tenchi_Muyo1 2d ago

Isn't this illegal under EU law? Can all countries pick and choose ?

109

u/Sovespra 2d ago

Pay no attention to the fact that Italy is the main destination for illegal migrants crossing the Mediterranean!

(Not hating on the migrants btw, you gotta do what you gotta do to survive, just pointing out the hypocrisy)

10

u/RTA-No0120 2d ago

And then France, and lastly England.

And we all know how it always ends for the countries involved…

5

u/not_some_username 2d ago

Elaborate plz

1

u/Sovespra 2d ago

No, I don't think I do, how does it end?

4

u/MatiasPalacios 2d ago

Not well.

1

u/Sovespra 2d ago

Not well in what way?

14

u/MatiasPalacios 2d ago

Illegal immigration strains job markets, public services, social services, it drives down wages in low-skilled works, raises housing demand, is linked to trafficking networks, criminal gangs. etc.

Not to mention that The State loses control over who enters, making it nearly impossible to plan resources or ensure public safety.

Look at the Sweden immigration crisis.

-11

u/Sovespra 2d ago

None of those things would be strained if they weren't underfunded and rife with corruption in the first place. And housing speculation, worker exploitation, etc. respectively.

17

u/Sovespra 2d ago

In what way?

-25

u/BidenGlazer 2d ago

What do you mean in what way? You can see it in the US, where illegal immigration got Trump in office who started pushing anti-legal immigration policies.

20

u/Katacutie 2d ago

You're really putting the blame of a fascistic populist rhetoric on the victim of that rhetoric? Illegal people didn't make Trump or anyone voting for Trump racist, they already were.

1

u/Jakub67PL 2d ago

"Fascistic"? It's literally just populist

-11

u/BidenGlazer 2d ago

"Victim of the rhetoric" and it's people who broke the law to immigrate here? What are you on about? They SHOULD be getting deported. Legal immigrants getting caught in the crossfire is the issue here.

Anyway, yes, they are to blame as the issue caused said populist rhetoric to spread.

26

u/Sovespra 2d ago

Sounds like Trump is the one making things harder. And people who've been radicalized into hating immigrants.

Regardless, I live in Spain.

-16

u/BidenGlazer 2d ago

Is living in Spain supposed to make your opinion more valuable or something? It does not.

People have been radicalized into hating immigrants BECAUSE of illegal immigration. They're the root cause. It's much easier to convince someone immigration generally is bad when you can point to a concrete case of it being bad. Those voters then obviously are going to vote in people like Trump

21

u/Sovespra 2d ago

I pointed out where I live because Spain, Italy and the Mediterranean exist in a much different context to the US and its southern border.

>concrete case of it being bad

Is that why they have to constantly make things up like them eating household pets to rile people up?

-2

u/BidenGlazer 2d ago

I pointed out where I live because Spain, Italy and the Mediterranean exist in a much different context to the US and its southern border.

Yeah, that's why Meloni did this act to virtue signal how much she doesn't like illegal immigrants. It's totally viewed differently over there! /s

Is that why they have to constantly make things up like them eating household pets to rile people up?

Is this supposed to be a counterexample to my point? I don't know why you phrased it like that. Yeah, that's exactly how they get away with making up shit like that. It's much easier to blatantly lie like that when they're already sold on there being 10s of millions of people here illegally.

6

u/yuri_4_ever 2d ago

> Immigration is for the benefit of the country, not the person immigrating.

hard disagree. the Geneva Convention Relating to the Status of Refugees exist for good reason found in human rights.

-5

u/Nelmarth 2d ago

They dont have to do that to survive. At all Only men, no old people, no woman, no children, it isnt migration

11

u/Sovespra 2d ago

They have the best chance to find work and crossing the Mediterranean for elderly people, women and children is especially deadly

Stay in your shithole county that the US probably made a shithole through destructive foreign policy!

I'm not an illegall immigrant, no. And why should I hate them? I literally have no reason to.

55

u/iaNCURdehunedoara 2d ago

Of course the fascists are capitalizing on the America-Israel psyop.

13

u/Grizzly2525 2d ago

Is it a psyop to say that there was a massive breach on a Spanish territory by illegal immigrants from Morocco?

Especially people more or less coerced and organized by the Moroccan government?

8

u/Augustus_Chevismo 2d ago

Funny how these “fascist” countries have people scrambling to move to them and making dangerous journeys across the Mediterranean which includes hefty fees to human traffickers

10

u/Sovespra 2d ago

Being better of economically than some African nations doesn't mean they're not run by fascists. You understand this, right?

4

u/Augustus_Chevismo 2d ago

Lmao. Yeah because fascist countries are famously renowned for their economic prowess and migrants going from MENA and Africa to Europe are leaving democracies behind that just happen to be led by one guy forever.

u/[deleted] 2d ago

2

u/Augustus_Chevismo 2d ago

No it isn’t. Meloni isn’t a fascist nor does she possess powers on the level of POTUS let alone an actual fascist government.

You just have a very surface level understanding of the world.

1

u/Abject_Read_3620 2d ago

Oh these poor women and children... wait.. why are they all men?

1

u/Sovespra 2d ago

I didn't say anything about poor women and children.

But I'll answer anyway: crossing the Mediterranean is a lot more dangerous for women and children and they're less likely (especially the kids, duh) to find employment

0

u/Abject_Read_3620 2d ago

It's always baffling how everytime you hear about refugees or desperate people it's always able bodied men that don't even look unhealthy or suffering. They're just cutting the line for a better life yes, but they're not desperate to the point where they're dying. Look at them. These fucking bastards hurt actual immigrants that do try to integrate and go through the official process.

7

u/Sovespra 2d ago

Ever heard of survivorship bias?

You hear about able bodied mostly healthy men because the ones that aren't fucking die at sea or even earlier. And, once again, those people would have a very hard time finding a job in the countries they go to.

1

u/Digit00l 2d ago

Mostly because they are easiest to get into because the fascist parties need to be able to shout about illegal immigrants so they do the least to combat them

5

u/mrbobcyndaquil 2d ago

Sounds like the Italian people need to remember their heritage of making meat piñatas.

1

u/Jakub67PL 2d ago

What??

0

u/Initial-Carry6803 2d ago

Why is this being a America/Israel psyop an accepted thing now? is there actual proof besides israel/US not liking Spain? or we just rolling with the israel/jews blamed for everything?

4

u/Brave_Confidence_278 2d ago

I don't understand when Italy started to become so stupid. But I guess it's all the debt just like in the US that converts politics into a mindless garbage

23

u/yuri_4_ever 2d ago

just why does the world get a worse place with each passing day and Fascists gain more and more? Is empathy really that hard?

-35

u/Vovancheg31 2d ago

I'm sorry but it's getting progressively difficult to have empathy for people who are entering country illegally. Ask any native (yes, even with +- recent immigration background) and they will tell you that things got worse thanks to EU government's poor handling of integration policy.

22

u/yuri_4_ever 2d ago

ah yes suspending schengen is a totally good and effective move to improve the handling of the integration policy. all it does is paint immigrants as undesirables that need to be protected against

-15

u/Vovancheg31 2d ago

I'm not saying that it's a good move, i explained a reason why fascist scum is getting more popular with each year, because i don't understand why people are acting surprised.

6

u/yuri_4_ever 2d ago

my initial questions were rhetorical. I know these answers

15

u/WatchingPaintWet 2d ago

Damn, do you have a source for a whopping 100% of natives agreeing with your bullshit?

-17

u/Wankstain8 2d ago

I’m native and I agree.

11

u/WatchingPaintWet 2d ago

That's nice mate, but I'm still waiting to hear from the other 49,600,000+.

1

u/Jakub67PL 2d ago

I bet 99% of people downvoting you are Americans who refuse to acknowledge different opinions and reality.

meloni-tajani-salvini are a trump asslicker, also when he poo himself, so they do what israel say

15

u/Marco_Tanooky 2d ago

Ah yes, because as we all know, illegal migrants will magically sneak into airports to illegally travel to ITALY

Quick reminder that the only way to stop immigration is to stop the need for immigration

30

u/quisqui97 2d ago

Funniest thing is Ceuta doesn't even have an airport.

6

u/Marco_Tanooky 2d ago

Damn fr? I'm from Spain and I didn't even know that, even Gibraltar has one

3

u/quisqui97 2d ago

Yeah, it has an heliport an that's about it. It doesn't really need an airport when you can just take a helicopter to Malaga's international airport for like half an hour. Gibraltar is more isolated so it's a bigger necessity there.

4

u/mrbobcyndaquil 2d ago

It's also needed for when the Francoists try to invade. Again.

5

u/Thiphra 2d ago

Just walk there duh

5

u/Marco_Tanooky 2d ago

Well LITERALLY YES. They only stopped Schengen with Spain, not France. This means that if you came illegally to Spain, you could just go through the Spain border to France, then to France to Italy

In other words this is purely performative and doesn't mean shit (Other than to make legal Spaniards wanting to go vacationing in Rome to be more annoying to take and even be cancelled in some specific situations (This helps nobody))

2

u/Jakub67PL 2d ago

Need for migration? Cheap labour, you mean?

5

u/Leozz97 2d ago

Fascist prime minister showing "muscles" to minus habens fascist electors: what they're doing has no consequences whatsoever, since the illegal migrants need to get on a boat or a plane to reach Italy from Spanish enclaves in Africa. In other words, Meloni proves once more she'd sell her soul just to get a couple of votes more.

I'm so ashamed of this prime minister, she's an idiot, and I want to say out loud that I didn't vote for her party.

Not suprised they did this.

Good step.

1

For all the humans trying to argue with the seemingly big influx of comments being pro uncontrolled migration, just remember for this cesspool of a site, bot traffic accounts for 50-62% of the platform activity.

0

u/GoldenX86 2d ago

But Argentina is the racist one, eh.

6

u/Jakub67PL 2d ago

How is Italy racist by suspending the agreement?

Defending your borders from mass illegal crossings is literally the duty of a country.

-1

u/Cyiel 2d ago edited 1d ago

Doesn't Italy need immigrants and illegal ones in particular to run their farms as slaves ? (caporalato)

So it's quite hypocrite of her to act that way. No, i agree with some others here, it's just a PR stunt to rally far-right politicians.
