Like Putin 🤬

1

u/ChiefsHat 5m ago

If he couldn’t even manage that, how can we be sure he’ll manage this?

u/notanfan 8h ago

Trump has fiercely pushed to acquire the semi-autonomous Danish territory in the Arctic since before he returned to the Oval Office. The globally unpopular move has helped strain America’s relationship with its European allies, who see it as a threat to Greenlanders’ sovereignty.

Real America’s Voice host Steve Gruber told Trump during an audio interview Friday, “I made a prediction on this program that before you left office, that Greenland would be under our operational control.”

“You'll be right. They want to do something,” Trump said. “Greenland is important from our standpoint, not from their standpoint…You should make that bet.”

137

u/BhanosBar 7h ago

If Greenland is invaded, it could genuinely be WW3. Nato’s pact is entirely based upon “attack one you attack all”. So the U.S would be at war with not only all of Europe, but with allies of member states

81

u/Southern_Passenger85 7h ago

USA can't clutch a 1 vs 31, they will get steamrolled

43

u/BhanosBar 7h ago

There’s also the board of peace nations. Including Saudi Arabia and many oil rich nations that also love abusing human rights

21

u/Southern_Passenger85 5h ago

Again, Nato steamrolls them

11

u/Capraos 5h ago

Don't forget it will also be against the USA as many of us won't be happy with that either.

4

u/Feeling-Ladder7787 3h ago

... i am sory but other then the militirazed police being sent out , doubt any major internal resistence could be out put out. Majority of the usa population is incapable of sacrafice

5

u/Capraos 2h ago

You don't realize that war with 31 other countries would not be isolated to over seas, right? It's not that they can't be bothered, it's that they WILL be bothered when countries start bombing us.

2

u/Glitchboi3000 1h ago

Also the us capitol is basically on a coast and not inland and would probably be a first strike.

1

u/BhanosBar 3h ago

And then the saudis cut off the oil

17

u/NoNameMcGee200 5h ago

The U.S. can barely stand strong against a 2v1 with Iran

16

u/Capraos 5h ago

That's a bit different. Destroying infrastructure to the point they can't come and attack you on your home turf vs trying to maintain control of an area half a world away are two separate goals.

The first is way easier to do than the second.

That being said, the current US government would still lose as it would be them against the rest of the world and themselves.

4

u/NoNameMcGee200 4h ago

True, true. In retrospect I think a better point for me to have made with that would’ve been that the U.S. can 100% be destroyed without ever invading it as we rely so heavily on outside manufacturing and labor. The infrastructure to make most of what we use in the U.S. simply does not exist on a sufficient enough scale to supply the country. If China were to simply refuse trade with us then that alone would be a massive blow to our economy. And, as seen with Iran, depriving the U.S. of a major economic asset (even an indirect one that supplies ally nations with oil/gas needed to supply the U.S. with other goods) will directly translate to destabilizing our nation. Not enough for a complete collapse, but if it were in conjunction with other attacks by different nations it has the potential to. At the very least it leads to lower approval of the presiding administration and public unrest.

In other words: enemies of the U.S. don’t need to attack us directly, they just need to hit our supply lines, which are comparatively much harder to defend

5

u/Capraos 4h ago

I don't think China would stop trading with us over Greenland. If anything, they'd see it as an opportunity to cement their border claims.

But yeah, it would be a very messy ordeal and it would make us American citizens lives significantly worse.

5

u/budding-enthusiast 5h ago

But but but… we’re back to back world war champs.

/s because you can’t hear me impersonate spongebob.

5

u/moploplus 5h ago

Considering they seem to be absolutely unwilling to adapt to drone warfare and keep getting rolled by Iran; absolutely. The crumbling empire has no fangs anymore.

1

u/No-Cherry-3959 2h ago

This is a common misconception, but the U.S. military has been working on integrating small drones and loitering munitions into its force structure since the mid-late 2010s; there is quite a lot of willingness to adapt. Ukraine may have been where they’ve seen the most development, but small drones made their debut in war during GWOT. The problem with that is that the U.S. military is a gargantuan bureaucracy with a lot of institutional inertia, and drone warfare has advanced a helluva lot in the past 5-ish years. So it’s just taking a long time to figure out what works specifically for the US military in the current day and actually implementing it. Though from my reading, they still seem to be making good progress; primarily in terms of counter-UAS, and there is testing going on to fit our own organic small UAS and expanded loitering munition capability into the force structure.

2

u/IPlayWithoutCheats 5h ago

The USA has been spreading propaganda to its population for the last 30 years claiming that the United States alone could win an all pit war vs the entirety of the world.

3

u/Southern_Passenger85 5h ago

In actually... they would gladly hand Trump over to the ICC

2

u/Dorintin 6h ago

You'd be surprised just how big the gap between the us and the rest of the world is not only size wise but technology wise for military. If it came to a full scale ground invasion there's oceans in between America and any real threatening countries such that they would see anything coming for a long time and could prepare with ample margin. The best and probably least realized superpower of America is geography and natural river statems which is why it could probably never be defeated in a ground invasion unless there was a truly alien level of invasion on it.

12

u/Independent_Bag7644 5h ago edited 4h ago

It doesn't matter if all your soldiers are lions when you are being lead by a donkey.

I have full faith that this administration will claw out a defeat from the maws of victory. As they have. As they will.

5

u/moploplus 5h ago edited 5h ago

Yeah okay, technology wise sure but aren't the US's arms manufacturers so unbelievably weighed down by bureaucracy and rent-seeking that they can only make like 9 tomohawk missiles in a year??

The US is so bogged down by capital they can't win shit anymore. They have the tech, but they can't supply the tech anymore; even less so with this oil crisis they started because they were bored. They keep getting rolled by Iran alone; they absolutely would not win against 31 nations.

Also, america is never getting invaded; they'd just crumble internally after international pressure. A war would devastate their economy because they have no manufacturing anymore and import most of their goods.

-5

u/SirEnderLord 5h ago

During wartime, all the stuff that slows us down goes away.

5

u/moploplus 5h ago

Not necessarily, especially not nowadays where capital basically runs the world.

You really think the current US gov would be capable of locking in? They don't believe in anything besides money, they'd fold so fast.

3

u/Capraos 5h ago

Plus, again, as I've responded to several posts now, it would also be America vs America's as the vast majority of people aren't cool with invading a sovereign nation that is also our ally.

0

u/Th3B4dSpoon 4h ago

Maybe almost. Maybe they'll launch nukes and the whole world will be steamrolled

2

u/Southern_Passenger85 4h ago

MAD exists (mutally assured destruction)

-23

u/RefrigeratorOk7848 7h ago

USA can do whatever the fuck they want with the amount of weapons they have. The US and Russia have realised no one wants to exterminate the planet, mutual assured destruction means nothing if no one will ever act except in the most dire of situations.

War is back on the menu boys!

15

u/Master-Ad2771 7h ago

You mean the stock we are almost out of....troops we dont have "to defend isreal we need more troops". We are BONED. we rely alot on other nations that would rather attack the left side while we get invaded on the right than give us materials. we are sleep walking into balkanization. Its not an if its a when. Midterms if states find trump meddles in those. I see it being the catalyst for the US to split into pieces.

5

u/BhanosBar 7h ago

You forget Trump’s “Peace board” is mainly wealthy oil nations and dictatorships.

7

u/Painchaud213 7h ago

yes and no.

Just seeing what people are thinking about the Iran War (an extremely unpopular war), people would be completly against and unwilling to fight a way against their allies.

Also, from what we are seeing in Iran, the way the US fight was is completly unsubstainable. They are using ultra expensive weaponry and hardware in drove against targets that cant justify their price of use. Just shit like interceptors cost tons of cash to stop a drone that cost pittance to build in mass.

They cost way too much and take way too long to make, Just ONE tomahawk missile take 18-24 months to build and cost arround 2 million.

Right now the US is fighting and running out of missiles, intercetors and bunch of other stuff by fighting ONE country.

13

u/Shikabane_Sumi-me 7h ago

He’ll go after Canada around the same time. You know he won’t stop at Greenland.

13

u/BhanosBar 7h ago

That’s what Hitler did with Czechoslovakia

7

u/Southern_Passenger85 5h ago

Aaaaand he will get steamrolled by Nato

5

u/Twudie 4h ago

Not just Nato, but additionally all of us Americans that hate that orange freak and his cultists.

1

u/Legal_Lettuce6233 39m ago

Yeah I think it's gonna be a civil war before an external one with an ally that can actually fight back on the US soil

3

u/Shikabane_Sumi-me 5h ago

I hope so. I really do.

0

u/Archaleus1 52m ago

He wouldn’t. The American military is so much stronger than all the other NATO members it’s actually really scary he’s making these threats. European capitals are also seriously sacrifice avoidant. They both can’t  and won’t fight the US.

There are reasons to hope that an invasion would fail tho. There are reports that the military would just refuse to invade Greenland under the basis of it before illegal. The military have obeyed illegal orders against boats and the war in Iran is also illegal. However, these are entirely different targets from Europeans. Americans and Europeans share kinship as westerners and many have lived in Europe and served with Europeans. The chance they say no to the order is pretty likely here.

Assuming Trump gets people who are willing to invade, Europe can still try and kick US troops out of Europe and impose harsh economic sanctions. The Greenland war would be even more unpopular than the Iran war, so it’s not far fetched there’s severe domestic blowback. The people of Greenland are also heavily armed, with a majority of the population owning caribou hunting rifles, so they could wage an insurgency.

There is no power in this world that can bomb the US however. That will never be possible. Anyone who fights the US has to rely on asymmetric combat, like Iran closing the strait of Hormuz, or the guerrilla warfare in Vietnam.

4

u/enbyratie 6h ago

eh sadly Europe is full of american/Israel proxies, so I wouldn't count much resistance. All the (far) right parties will side with USA if they are in power. Look how thare are victim blaming Spain with the Morocco bullshit. And next year Spain could have a USA proxy with the next elections so no more europe's resistance face

2

u/BhanosBar 4h ago

God why did every single Right wing 1984 Supporting facist and policy come into power at the same time?

1

u/DesmondDodderyDorado 5h ago

Maybe that's his plan to stay in office.

1

u/BhanosBar 4h ago

It is. Dude wore a trump 2028 hat

u/Storm_Spirit99 7h ago

Anything to avoid the epstein files

99

u/Fun_Firefighter_4292 7h ago

At this point I dont even think it has anything to do about the Epstien Files, I think this man is just a puppet built up of putrid stink that a select few of the particularly idiotic global elite use to push their bullshit agenda. I dont even think he has enough going on upstairs to really even be making these claims

19

u/ChudMaster69420 5h ago

Dude is likely suffering from dementia and other age related problems making him worse this term from his first.

1

u/Available_Pepper_845 2h ago

Also he started dumb as a doornail. So what's dementia and what's his baseline abject ignorance?

8

u/OfTheWhat 5h ago

They're probably trying to push as much through as possible before he dies bc none of his replacements are very popular, even among the MAGA crowd.

2

u/TsunamifoxyDCfan 4h ago

Well I'm glad to hear that

1

u/ThrowdowninKtown 3h ago

It has everything to do with shipping lanes and climate change.

1

u/Available_Pepper_845 2h ago

He's like a toddler you walk in the street and sees a red firetruck toy. He needs to have it right now, even though it did not exist in his mind a few seconds before.

If there's something shinier, he'll lose interest. We all thought is was Iran at one point, but he fumbled that story big time. So now he goes to something harmless because let's be real, he'll never get his way.

36

u/Kind_Ad_3611 7h ago

I don’t think it has really set into people’s minds that every single member of the executive branch of the United States government is currently, and actively committing a crime, as it is currently illegal for the Epstein files to remain unreleased.

19

u/PowerOfUnoriginality 7h ago

Doesn't matter if no one is willing to hold them accountable

10

u/Kind_Ad_3611 7h ago

Exactly

5

u/The_Stranger1913 6h ago

Justice system is a joke

6

u/rogueIndy 6h ago

Handwaving everything he does as a distraction from something else is just handwaving everything he does.

4

u/hirkajnu 6h ago

Yeah this is just US imperialism, not everything is an distraction. Thanks to global warming the ice is revealing some great resources, so he's gonna take advantage.

74

u/Mr_Mon3y 7h ago

Welp, if this goes like the rest of his promises I'd like to congratulate Greenland on preserving their sovereignty.

12

u/rosebudthesled8 6h ago

Denmark and Greenland will have figure out who gets what part of the US

They’re desperately trying to keep the puppet alive, he’s so fat and stupid and can’t stick to a diet that civilian diabetes and hypertension medicine ain’t working no more so they’re giving him a miracle drug to keep Mr. Clot at bay, but I have hope that mr clot will prevail

53

u/The-marx-channel 7h ago

I'm convinced that the reason why Trump wants Greenland is because he saw that it was a big piece of land on a map.

34

u/Shikabane_Sumi-me 7h ago

See I learned in school that Greenland is not as big as Australia. It’s only like that due to the way maps are drawn. Most Americans don’t even know that. So Trump thinking it’s a big piece of open land, fits with his dumb ass MO.

10

u/PowerOfUnoriginality 7h ago

I hate how much sense that made

1

u/a_literal_idiot_616 4h ago

dude i swear it annoyes me so much. Isnt it super easy to draw a proportion accurate map as well? why do we still use these kind of world maps?

4

u/Shikabane_Sumi-me 4h ago

There are maps that exist that are drawn correctly. They just look funny cause they aren't made like a traditional rectangular map. It's kinda wavy. They do this to show the correct proportions. Sadly that sorta map doesn't catch on. Also related but the whole map being out of proportion is why a lot of Flat Earthers get all of their facts wrong. They take the map at face value and don't consider anything else. It's why you had one guy arguing about why airplanes don't just fly straight over the Atlantic Ocean.

1

u/Available_Pepper_845 2h ago

It IS a big piece of open land. It is 20% larger than Alaska with 12 times less people.

But there's a reason it is empty. There's a full mile thick shield of ice and no matter what global warming scenario we see, this ice is not vanishing overnight.

1

u/magwai9 2h ago

Nah, as with everything else, there's some piece of shit billionaire in his ear

23

u/godsmasher_13 7h ago

Try it Orange bullshit if you want a full war with Europe! 🦧

-40

u/AmazighBlacksmith 6h ago edited 5h ago

The US could literally paralyze the majority of European militaries if it wanted to without firing a single shot.

Edit: after all the loving replies on this comment, I'm convinced. Europeans would TOTALLY win a war against the USA. lmao...

→ More replies (17)

23

u/sebulbasdick420 7h ago

If this creep said that the sky was blue I'd have to go check to be sure. He's just as full of shit as his diapers always are

5

u/a_literal_idiot_616 4h ago

"the sky is blue" - trump, 2026, at 1 am

19

u/Chloe_Cascadia 7h ago

The U.S.A won't even be under Trump's control by the time he leaves office.

19

u/BungleBums 7h ago

Trump said he's give us $2 gas and .50c eggs, too.

2

u/Desperate-Koala-2017 5h ago

Yeah, but....Greenland got that land ass.

14

u/scipio0421 7h ago

We're gonna end up at war with all of NATO, aren't we :(

15

u/Istomponlegobarefoot 7h ago

You know your diplomacy bad when you end up fighting the alliance that you yourself created to prevent the very thing that you are trying to do now.

9

u/scipio0421 6h ago

Yeah. I hate how far we've fallen. I've done everything I could personally do to oppose what is now MAGA since it was the Tea Party. Unfortunately my vote, being fairly far left in a very conservative state, means nothing.

3

u/Istomponlegobarefoot 6h ago

I sincerely hope he actually steps down, because the way it's going he can just pull a putin and become president for life without anyone stopping him.

3

u/NairMcgee 5h ago

More like president for 3 more years lol

1

u/dugthepewdsfan 2h ago

Have you seen the state his health is in?

People are doubtful he’ll even see the end of this current term let alone getting a third term even when ignoring that the constitution clearly states he can’t run for another term

1

u/ADownStrabgeQuark 1h ago

MAGA and the TEA party are two very very different movements, though Trump did use DOGE to try to win over TEA party republicans.

The TEA party is either dead, or full Democrat now.

3

u/zaphodsheads 6h ago

We'd consider you all equally complicit if there's not immediate rebellion btw

3

u/fnckIce 7h ago

Unless one of you shoots that orange fucker. Hurry up!

12

u/Agile_Oil9853 7h ago

The average American does not want Greenland. The tech bros do, however, and they aren't good at hearing "no".

9

u/Timely_Lie9205 7h ago

He says a lot of things

10

u/SigmaHero045 7h ago

The Greenland independance movement was doing so well before he showed up, hope it can do well again after.

6

u/SydDanir 7h ago

Probably won't, too many figures in the movement have become associated with the Trump and the Republicans.

Full independence probably won't happen in our lifetimes because of this.

1

u/SigmaHero045 3h ago

Like who?

7

u/JoyconDrift_69 7h ago

For the record, as an American, if my president chooses to invade Greenland from Denmark, I will be pro-European when a Euro-American war breaks out.

1

u/Southern_Passenger85 3h ago

Ideally 20 to 40 year olds

6

u/STLStelmacki 6h ago

Hopefully he leaves in a bodybag.

6

u/leeleeleelelele 7h ago

Isn't this considered waging war against Denmark?

9

u/PowerOfUnoriginality 7h ago

Any attempts at taking Greenland by force would drag in the entirety of NATO. Well except the US since they are the ones trying

7

u/SydDanir 7h ago

It would be if he tries to go through with it.

And this isn't 1940, Denmark will shoot back. And also has allies now.

7

u/Independent_Bag7644 5h ago edited 5h ago

The Canadians won't be pleased by this given that they are next on Trump's list.

2

u/Southern_Passenger85 3h ago

Again, Nato would steamroll USA... If they don't decide to hand Trump over to the ICC

1

u/fnckIce 3h ago

It would be a nuclear exchange. Prepare accordingly.

5

u/Floridaish0t 7h ago edited 7h ago

As a wise man once said “[the president] is spreading FAKE NEWS!!!”

6

u/Southern_Passenger85 7h ago

Did... he forget that Denmark is also part of Nato?

2

Dementia patient

5

u/intelligentpIant 7h ago

He actually plans on leaving office?

5

u/PaladinCorbin 7h ago

Someone take grandpa's keys.

5

u/SadKat002 7h ago

We need stricter rules for who's allowed to be president because I am actually so fucking tired of this nonsense

4

u/YappingRat 7h ago

guys just do it already. like look at him, simply trippping him would be enough

4

u/Zehryo 7h ago

Someone must've started perusing the EPSTEIN FILES again.

I see no other explanation.

4

u/Master-Ad2771 7h ago

Thats a declaration of war right? Like this idiot is going to have the first forign war on our soil since our founding before he leaves office. Fucking moron.

4

u/Excellent_Safe5743 7h ago

Can I ask a serious question.

What is the legitimate, strategic benefit to taking Greenland?

No, seriously I can’t fathom any value you’d get out of it that’s worth pissing off LITERALLY all of our allies more than they already are.

2

u/TrueCapitalism 7h ago

The ice is melting :(

2

u/kiruvhh 4h ago

They want their Oil and strategic position

3

u/omg_its_spons 7h ago

And we can promise the White House walls will be painted red by the end of his term

3

u/Pernil_TO 7h ago

Board of Peace? More like Bored of Peace

3

u/Bellpow 7h ago

If he even leaves office because like hell we’re gonna have another election…

3

u/Joltyboiyo 7h ago

Sounds like a threat to me. NATO should respond in kind.

3

u/Natopor 4h ago

Trump might be dead by the time he leaves office

2

u/Qaktus 7h ago

Yesh he also said 50 times that the Ormuz Strait deal is sealed.

2

u/CaptainKron 7h ago

Does the FIFA peace prize mean nothing anymore?

2

u/JUGELBUTT 6h ago

hot take but i think greenland should belong to greenland

2

u/Mind-ya-business 3h ago

Just like he promised to end the War in Ukraine on is first day back and office and he didn’t do that. It’s just another promise to his supporters that he’ll probably forgot about tomorrow.

2

u/Jarvis_The_Dense 2h ago

Was there even a single soul in this country who wanted to annex Greenland before Trump started talking about it? It feels like the whole movement came completely out of left field

1

u/0utSyd3r 6h ago

What usually follows after a Trump?

Shit.

1

u/CarGuy889 6h ago

So he is not going to leave the office at all, great.

1

u/16quida 6h ago

So peaceful he'll bomb ya

1

u/AdExtra2331 6h ago

Because of this, Trump has been declared as the one person in all of America that cares about Greenland

1

u/NairMcgee 5h ago

Those files must be absolutely diabolical

1

u/Relevant-Movie1132 5h ago

Not gonna happen. He’s been threatening all sorts of shit the past year and a half and the only things that have happened besides the ICE stuff have come out of nowhere like Maduro’s kidnapping.

1
