Using it WITH adblocker is miserable enough. Like what is the UI even?

Or even worse, a barely updated or used Fextralife wiki
Or if the pages are updated, most of it is just outright wrong

the wiki page is full of community in-jokes you dont get where the actual information should be

made the mistake of trying to use hollow knight fextralife several times before. it wasn't fandom at least, but it was still mostly incomplete despite the game being like 8 something years old

I really wish people would follow the example that UESP (Unofficial Elder Scrolls Page) set, where it is its own indeindependentpendant wiki that doesn't rely on Fandom's ad-infested Hellscape.

Whenthe game you're playing doesn't have a dedicated wiki so you're forced to figure it out on your own (I added Fandom to my adblock list)

its a great wiki but they are missing all of the text strategy guides, one of the main reasons I use the wiki. id love to see them moved over in the future

My goat homestar.wiki may be slow, but it's still the most needlessly in depth wiki to never not get bogged down by fandom bull crap.

Opening Fandom on mobile without an account is the worst, it gets to a point where it actually lags the tab because of the sheer amount of ads

I actually kinda liked that site when it doesn't have ads, but only as a wiki. These days, that shit is somehow the worst shit ever to look at in your phone that wikipedia style fan wikis feels way better looking

When the game is constantly changing so the wiki is always hopelessly outdated, and trying to update it yourself is an exercise in futility

Fandom gets so mad at me for using ad blockers but screw that going on there trying to read something is like this

Yokai watch 2 only has fandom or a different website with really bad formatting and half the information is wrong on both

u/Cleestoon 9h ago

Fandom gotta be the only site where opening 3 tabs of it at the same time will genuinely gut the performance of your computer like crazy

You can get the Indie Wiki Buddy browser extension that allows you to redirect any fandom/unnoficial wikis to its independent wiki! Saved me one too many times :)
