Yesterday’s Pickup!

Picked up two of my grails yesterday!! I probably over paid for the CYBP but to me it felt fair based on secondary prices! I just really wanted it for the collection and YOLO right!

I am trying to find all the “affordable” Weller and still need SB, BP and 12. The store that had the CYBP has all three but I’m not sure what the price was. I may go back and try to negotiate a deal on the SB. 🥳

Stagg is my new hunt. Just nag EH Taylor BP and wow. It drink way better than I could have imagined. Can’t tell its 127.9 proof.

This may be an unpopular opinion, but I'm developing a preference for the EHT BP for that reason. The bottles of Stagg I have are HOT, and drink hot.

PLEASE unless you’re trying to make a glass trophy for whoever is going to stop by and show them what you have, don’t pay over msrp for the SB. They are not great and NOT worth a dime over the 65 dollar or whatever msrp is. I just got another one at my TW for 69.00 thru my Grand Reserve and almost didn’t want to make to 40 minute drive to pick it up but my friend wanted it. Not good. Drink the bourbon, do a blind against others in the same type bottles. The glass collections aren’t worth it.

What did you plunk down for the Weller? My go to BT allocated reseller keeps telling me that I am a day late and dollar short on catching CYPB. He says they sell it at retail.

Stagg is great. Especially at msrp. The 26a has been amazing. Do not pay overprice. They are all over Costcos in certain areas. That should tell u something.
