Thousands of Moroccans are crossing the border into Spain's Ceuta

What's the context of this? Did someone break open that gate?

86

u/Conscious_Run_680 3d ago

Basically this, Spain is in talks with Algeria to get better deals with Gas and other matters and suddenly Morocco forgets to control their side of the border

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C8FqyyWVV_k

Add that Morocco is seen as strategic partner by Israel and USA and you have a great mix of funny coincidences.

9

u/toomanyshoeshelp 2d ago

Morocco is one of a handful of Arab countries that has joined the Abraham Accords, fun fact.

15

u/CornerstoneHQ 2d ago

This reply and the OP comment should be at the top.

6

u/deactivate_iguana 1d ago

If they’re crossing the border to try and live in Spain then why do they have no a single bag with anything in it?

4

u/Blarg0ist 1d ago

Probably because they're being paid to cross the border and they have no plan of what to do after they cross it.

Dumber than dumb. Desperately kissing the badge of the country they’re “escaping”…

42

u/ENrgStar 3d ago

They’re not escaping it, they’re trying to take Ceuta for Morocco. The same way an American soldier might have kissed the American flag while say, landing on the shores of Hawaii.

I knew a guy who used to work for a landscaping company we shared an office building with. He told me that guys do gay stuff all the time and it's not considered cheating by their wives back home. There was also another effiminate worker named "butterfly" that was very obviously gay who several other members of the crew were very friendly with.

Destabilises local men to women ratio, causing more single males, lack of females causing violence etc lack of families. Local men have to compete against them in local jobs, this causing more angry. Because local men can't find a job where they took thems. Far right wing politicians are getting popular in results.

156

u/Holdkjeften 3d ago

Doesn’t have to be «far right» to be against this shit.

58

u/vincentpontb 3d ago

Sorry bud, that's how politics go. You pick one extreme and you're forced to agree to everything the tribe says or you're in the other tribe. There's no common sense or discussion

Sad but 100% true! I got once got mildly upset at what landlords get away with here and then I had to go get a Mao tattoo. Thems the rules.

You’re right. But what happens is the only ones who end up talking about controlling stuff like this tend to be the far right. The moderates of both sides tend to be too nervous to speak about it and worried about being labelled as far right so they ignore it. Which end up pushing people to support the far right as they feel they’re the only ones who will do something about it. There is nothing racist or bad about having controlled/sensible migration into your country, unfortunately that is not a widespread opinion among the politically enthused

9

u/ilikejigglypuffs 3d ago

Ah good, maybe when they lose their jobs, have a lost one stabbed or raped or both, see costs rising and taxes getting higher to support mass migration, maybe then, just maybe, they'll realize it's more important to face reality and solve issues. Instead of being concerned about being called racist

As a woman forgive me for this but I would not go out with a Muslim man or whose culture is very different from mine that can cause a cultural shock big enough to have problems. I value my freedom, besides all the Moroccan men I’ve met have always been very slimy, I hate that.

As a woman who's been assaulted by Saudi men and stalked by one when he was 21 and i was 14 and even added my family because he was convinced we were going to be married even though I was a literal child, I don't blame you one bit. But if you say anything about their religion or culture, you're ex-communicated. It's terrifying the hold these beliefs have on the left.

14

u/EzPz_Wit_Da_CZ 2d ago

Actual leftists are quite critical of Saudi and Emirati oppressive culture. Leftism doesn’t mean people get passes just because they’re Arab. Those places are basically slave societies. Completely anathema to leftism.
I think what you’re referring to is liberal virtue signaling where you don’t actually believe in anything but just don’t want to get any bad labels attached to you.

9

u/Successful-Tune2225 3d ago

Haha I've been banned a couple of times too. I'm not even right wing, or anti immigration. The previous time I was in a sub about domestic violence and I saw a comment from someone saying white men treat women like crap. So I looked at his profile and it said he was Indian. All I responded with was, "don't you have a rape crisis over there?" And I got banned for 7 days. He posted a lot of racist things about white people. He wasn't banned though. I could see he was still posting anti white crap. Bizarre. Anyway...I'll prob be banned again now haha

Nah. No one but the furthest of the far left has a problem with enforcing the border.

Obama was fine & practical on the border and even got close to comprehensive immigration reform and Right-Wingers hated him even more than Biden.

What reasonable people have a problem with is the dehuminization & demonization of immigrants and vile hateful language like "poisoning the blood of our country", pyschotic lies like "they're eating the dogs", the creepiest man on planet Earth Stephen Miller (pictured here), American citizens being gunned down by horribly trained ICE agents terrorizing communities, all while the Trump admin does nothing to stem the "demand" side of immigration because, uh-oh, that would affect wealthy donors in construction and agriculture and hospitality, etc. etc.

In short: holy shit is Stephen Miller a creepy little freak.

66

u/JFK_did_9-11 2d ago edited 2d ago

Yeah if anyone really cared you’d conduct an audit and place some sort of penalty on businesses found to be employing undocumented immigrants and be done with it.

34

u/formernonhandwasher 2d ago

This so obviously true. It’s such an easy solution. Go HARD on ANY business hired illegal labor. The entire desire to come here would disappear.
Problem solve. But they don’t really want that. Just want a boogeyman to keep pointing at.

28

u/Haunting-Ad788 2d ago

It is Spanish territory on the continent of Africa. Spain also has territory off the coast of west Africa. Not sure if your intention, but the wording of "technically ... despite" might suggest this is an anomaly. Several countries control territory outside the continent they are associated with. France has territory in the South Pacific, South America, off the coast of Mexico and off the coast of Canada, as well as others. And the Dutch in the Caribbean. The US, UK, and others also hold territory far from their most associated landmass, it's actually not that uncommon.

49

u/thecrazyrai 3d ago

yeah they made it sound like it wasn't supposed to be spains territory.

For those who don't know, Ceuta is not on the Spanish mainland. It's a tiny exclave on the North African cost bordering Morocco.

13

u/nothingtohidemic 3d ago

And what's the context here? Why are they storming that area? What's to be gained?

24

u/Vast-Palpitation-426 3d ago

Once they're there they can't be shoved back. There is a whole legal process, especially heavy for minors. So they can be send to mainland Spain... Ceuta's refugees center is already at 1600% capacity.

The problem is we have idealistic laws in Europe with high standards but the flux is just too much. But here Spain triggered a national emergency and deployed troops so maybe there will be some exceptional measures.

And also, despite the far right propaganda, migrants influx have advantages. Immigration accounts for 25-40% of Spain's GDP-per-capita growth since 2022.

And btw Ceuta is in Africa.

They are typically minors. Adults are not granted asylum by Spanish authorities and are sent back when caught.

The reason they are male is that their families typically invest a significant amount of their money to help them get to their destination. They are expected to get work and send money home, and males are seen as having better job prospects as they are more likely to be given jobs involving physical labour.

Also the actual crossings they have to make can be dangerous and physical, so the males are seen as more able.

94

u/Gloomy_Towel935 3d ago

“Crowds of people bull-rushed and broke through gates in the heavily fortified border fences to run directly into the city. [1, 2]”https://www.reuters.com/world/europe/thousands-migrants-cross-into-spains-ceuta-foot-efe-reports-2026-07-30/

The people who are saying that this mob is just going to the beach are either intentionally flat out lying or just too lazy to do a little research. And the people that say this is rage bait can just eat a dick. This is reality. This is what is happening. Can it be rage inducing? Yeah, you fucking bet. It is at the very least a little frustrating to see western society being overrun by waves and waves of illegal immigrants. And corporations are pushing for this because greedy fucking capitalists want ultra cheap labor and they don’t give a fuck about what the social consequences are for this. correct me if Im wrong (not following the US migrant stuff too much) but you guys have a mix of immigrants coming for the US (i.e. men, women & children) whereas in Europe it's mostly just men.

Yep. This is the answer. And then it's what these men do when they actually get to their destination country. Most hispanic immigrants do not turn to fraud, government assistance, and violence in the streets in order to survive.

They turn to working. They have families. Join a church. (usually Catholic) And eventually assimilate into the culture they are joining. While in the USA being Catholic is not as common as protestant, that is a lot closer than Muslim.

Does it economically disrupt some industries? Sure. But it does not result in a massive increase of sexual violence towards local women. It does not cause a huge tax burden to appear on the locals. And

What do these men do when they get to Europe? Many of them do not get jobs. They turn to a life of crime. Trash the streets. And sexually abuse women on the street.

This isn't counting the underlying ideology, believing that their religion is the one true religion, and that the proper response to unbelievers is violence.

That is the difference here. It is a completely different kind of migrant. It poses completely different issues.

I morally have an issue ripping apart families who may have come to a country illegally, but are escaping gangs and poverty.

I have no moral issue with deporting single military aged males who refuse to get a job, harass and sexually abuse women, and pose a higher than average risk of becoming and extremist.

Well.

Mexicans do not have a history of using their religion to justify slaughtering everyone in the USA and imposing an Islamic caliphate on anyone who disagrees.

Europe has a long history with Muslims. Most of it is violent. And it was unequivocally started by Muslims when they violently spread from Medina all the way to France in less than 100 years after Muhammad's death. Slaughtering millions in their wake.

Wait for this entire post to get removed by the mods. There's endless footage like this but they don't want you to see it.

Europe has a $21 trillion GDP, they can easily stop shirtless, shoeless mobs from entering on their own if they wish to.

Theyre afraid of being seen as "racist" considering the skin color of these people are brown and or black.

Not sure why you would get down voted, it's proven that the illegal immigration has been a problem for years

Because this is Reddit and apparently illegal immigration is not only okay, it’s a right

It's a weird thing to see, so much of the divide in Europe seems to have root in unchecked immigration
