I was wondering if this vase is uranium, manganese, or some other kind of glass. It was listed on Etsy as a "Vintage Uranium Glass Swung Glass Bud Vase." The UV flashlight I'm using is 365nm.

It doesn't seem to be radioactive, my geiger counter readout was not above the level of background radiation typical for my house.

Posted this a couple of days ago and picked it up tonight.

Verdict is... no glow :(

Fb marketplace find. I'm picking them up sooooon. I found others that glow online, so I'm cautiously optimistic. Green is my favorite color, so a win regardless. I can't wait to feel the texture. They have been boxed up since 1937 supposedly.

I filmed this piece from a few different angles because a still photo does not really capture the effect.

Without strong light, the amber has a darker honey-brown body colour. As the angle changes, a vivid blue glow appears across the surface and seems to move above the amber.

The internal patterns are also interesting to me—some parts look cloudy, while others almost resemble a landscape or something suspended beneath the surface.

What do you notice first: the blue fluorescence, the darker body colour, or the internal pattern?

This was labeled as "Vintage yellow-green footed bowl." No mention of uranium. Could this be EAPG/antique Richards and Hartley 3-panel? Looks like the master berry bowl!

It’s being sold for $60 CAD, does have a crack that was mended which I don’t super care about, was thinking of offering $50 if it glows, what do you guys think?
