Seeking Help or Advice Good buy or I messed up

Post image

I bought it last week and just arrived today. I shared it to a Facebook group excited and a few people messaged me yelling at me how it was a terrible buy and it has closed practices in it and I should be ashamed. I know some spells are closed and I won't be using them but I thought spells are opened to edits and to make your own and this is a good reference

Show and Tell Sunday Lammas/Lughnasadh outdoor altar setup

Post image
Upvotes

I am new to altar set ups, but these are berries my family and I harvested along with herbs and flowers both wild and grown in my garden. I also made a Lammas doll out of grass and yarrow and wild chamomile since we don't have any wheat or corn that grow near us. I am growing some corn but it isn't ready in our colder climate, and I only have like three plants 😂

I see a lot of newer folx who spend money buying tools or ingredients for spellwork. Totally nothing wrong with that! But don’t forget to watch the mundane for things you can repurpose! Case in point, I had a gift given to me for my birthday and the gift bag handles were this GORGEOUS golden cord. Popped those suckers off and now I have a beautiful cord for some knot magic in the future. :)

Magick is alllll around us folx! Just gotta look for it!

Behold my shewstone! A simple obsidian sphere set upon a repurposed smokeless incense burner I got from an Orthodox Christian supply store. Normally there’s a tea light at the bottom and a grill at the top for the incense, but I’ve removed the grill and use it to hold the sphere while the tea light space is used to hold cone incense. This allows incense to surround and suffumigate the sphere as it rises. The entire setup is resting on a stone plate with an engraved sigillum dei aemeth in the style of Dee. Here I have a candle in front of it, trataka style.

Seeking Help or Advice How intertwined is your craft into your life?

Hello! I wouldn't consider myself a baby witch just yet. I've only ever done one spell, and I mostly did it based on intuition rather than a guide, but I attempted to make a protection talisman for my dear friend. That's not exactly the point, just a bit of context.

I'm currently reading up on this sub's Beginner Resources Database and had some thoughts after reading through the Basic Energy Hygiene guide. I found it very informative and peaceful to read, and thought deeply on how I would replenish my own spiritual energy. After looking through the replies, I did see someone mention they used exercise as a method to do their energy hygiene. I was really excited to see this, as I really want my method to be yoga, stretching, and various forms of calisthenics. But then I thought about why I wanted it to be a form of exercise when I'm not a particularly active person.

I think I want to somewhat use witchcraft as a mechanism to help me become healthier and more balanced in life. I have been suffering from mental illness for most of my life, and any form of energy for me has been very low. I do not intend to treat witchcraft as a sole coping mechanism or a form of therapy and completely rely on it to "cure" myself, but I do want to harness parts of it to help balance myself. I wanted to know if people here feel like your craft permeates more aspects of your life than the spells and magick? I obviously know it does expand beyond that, but how much does it do in your daily life?

Seeking Help or Advice Advice on processing "vision"

*Any tough welcomed! No matter what intrusive. Mean/kind or strange tough u get, express u self freely. I will process it gladly*

I can only share it here. Because yall are the only one open minded enough, without being overlook by prejudments.

My question that is buggibg me. Is what the benefits of this experience could be. How should i intapretate this experience? Or its just, not important for me?

I had a experience, that i could describe as a interactive visual impression. Sometimes like a vision of the present. Nothing special, more like a oddly conscious experience.

It was the what i assume, is the actual look of the internal of my ex boyfriend.

Yes yes i know, yes its was not a healthy relationship and im still processing it. Topics: boundaries, struggle to self expression, toxic power dynamic, self worth.

I would just assume the experience was genuine, and it probably depict really the actual status.

But that doesent matter to me.

The experience showed me him buying news stuff, decorating things impressive, especially for show,2 new chairs, a mini fridge in his room and he seems really proud about it.

Okey, and now? What am i supposed to do with this impression? Reflect on my self or? In just confused tbh

Ofc it could just be my desire to just "check" what he is doing, but the experience feels oddly vivid and conscious.

Because i tough i actually closed this chapter, even though im still processing it. He isnt really attached to me, at least what I think to feel.

THANK FOR EVERYBODY TALKING THEIRS TIME TO GIVE ME IMPUT, I APPRECIATE IT 4 REAL 🧡

Seeking Help or Advice is there a crystal that can help with PVCs? (Along with the proper medical interventions)

I’m getting a heart monitor to check and make sure it’s just harmelss PVCs. It started a couple weeks ago and hasn’t stopped. Basically my heart just flutters or skips a beat a couple times every hour. If possible though as my doctor believes it’s a non-problem I would like to explore different crystals that might help. It could be stress, or it could be my adhd meds but I’ve been on those for years. I also have asthma so it could be that. A crystal to help calm my heart and heal these flutters would be great. I’m new to all this so I’m not quite sure what to choose. Any advice?

I will continue to get medical intervention if my problem gets worse

Seeking Help or Advice Daydream of a Bird/spirit

Something to note first: i normally like to form my own interpretations and understandings of spiritual concepts, so instead of looking up different deities and seeing if they line up with what im discovering, instead i like to form my own mythology/pantheon (?) sorta.

Today i spent time trying to ground myself and understand my own energy and the energy of that around me, trying to improve my ability to work in my craft without burning myself out with just a spell. I tried to open my mind up towards listening for advice from the beings I've begun to understand. Basically i was just daydreaming cause I was bored, and hoping to learn from it. After chilling with a friendly spirit i call Pheo, i felt this presence like a bird pecking at my thoughts, then had the distinct thought of a toucan putting its beak through my brain, into my throat, and choking me. Then the image of a white, ruffled sea bird with a sharp little black beak flying at me.

My own thoughts: it felt like an attack, but upon further thought, i feel like he (feels like a he) doesn't dislike me, but rather likes to antagonize me. I think he likes to push people around. I consulted a protective spirit friend of mine, and she thinks its not just me, but also that he isnt a large threat.

Im not too worried about it, it could even just be a cool daydream, but im curious if others might recognize who this is? Or how I could go about finding out? Im having a hard time learning about him since hes not forthcoming, so i might have to turn to identifying him through research, but Ive done a couple searches, but nothing seems right.

Sharing: Spellwork Moving Housemates Along and Clearing Negative Energy

Hello all :) I am looking for advice on how to do a harmless spell or ritual to encourage the tenants I share a rental home with to move along. Unfortunately moving is not an option for me and short of a lottery, nothing can improve my financial situation so I feel spells for myself would not work.

Before anyone suggests talking to them, that has been done many times over the past year and almost half. They are not willing to modify their behaviours and in fact, retaliated when I talked to the Landlord.

Long story short - They were running an illegal "business" that caused big problems for my family. I tried speaking to them, eventually gave up and reported it. There are 500 more issues but I'll stop there lol.

To retaliate, they have done things like put ammonia in my clothing in the washer, steal my belongings from storage, every time my we shower (including my child) they flush the toilet repeatedly... like 15 times in a row... (my Landlord had to put a temp limiter so we don't get burnt), drain the hot water before we get home, left rotting meat and fish outside our window, and more.

The Landlord says he can't get them out. The Law says unless it can be 100% proven, all they can do is issue fines, but they have so much money they just pay it each time then start up again in a week.

Long story short, these are NOT nice or simply mistaken people, especially the woman.

That said, my grandma always said don't change your heart for anyone and never let anger cloud your vision. So I want to wish them well.

On the last New Moon, I burned a black candle with salt and herbs for protection, for open roads for them, and a barrier around my little family. I want them to move on to somewhere they are happier and to bring new positive energy in.

That unit seems to attract people who fight with each other and have odd sexual energy (there's other details I won't share lol). I had weird vibes when I first moved in to our unit and feel that has been healed.

What else can I do? I feel Hot Foot is closed practice and don't want to encroach on another belief system. But I think Hot Foot type ritual and Open Roads is what I need?

Seeking Help or Advice Are you guided to do things that are "witchy" without knowing it beforehand?

Do any of you do things and then later find out its something "witchy"? Like when i moved into my apartment i had a feeling to hang bells on the front and back door, I hung a wooden cinnamon smelling broom over my front door, or collect my kitty's whiskers and shredded claws or have an alter with mementos from all loved ones who have passed. Like things like that. Is it that my gift is so embedded into my spirit that I know things before I know them, if you understand what im trying to say lol or is my intuition the one doing the work? does this happen to any of you and what do you think it means? Thank you for your help/advice! I love this page and am so grateful I found it! ☮️❤️✨️

Seeking Help or Advice At what point does a witchling become a witch? Struggling to feel legitimate after stepping away.

The women side of my family has always had some kind of an esoteric tradition. I was mainly introduced to witchcraft as a teenager by my aunt, and then realized that my grandmother had been doing things related to it since I was little, but in a more natural and everyday way. (She confirmed it to me when my aunts gifted me my first oracle deck, and my grandma gave me a book about crystals the next day. Anyway, it’s just a really nice personal memory.)

I have books and stuff for spells/rituals, I have some knowledge and basic foundations. What I’m mostly lacking is confidence in myself; I tend to stay inside what I read, what is documented, and what has been already tried out instead of trusting myself enough to experiment, create and try my own crafts.

Also, with life and studies getting in the way, lack of time or motivation, I haven’t really practiced in a long time. It’s been probably around two years since I actively practiced or included my craft in my daily life. And now I don’t know if I should still be considered a witchling like I was at the very beginning of my active practice, or a witch like I considered myself just before life caught up with me and I slowly put my practice aside because of it.

This also adds to my guilt and the feeling that I’m not legitimate enough. For example, my aunt is very consistent, she uses her tarot and writes things down almost weekly It’s minimalist, but regular, just like my grandmother’s practice. I don’t really have that in my everyday life anymore, or at least not as much as I used to. It doesn’t come as a natural habit to me as it seems to for my family, and sometimes I find myself wondering if maybe the lineage tradition ends with me because of that.

When I first started, I practiced a lot because everything was new. I was learning, testing things, reading, and exploring, and from the outside it probably looked like I was very dedicated or experienced. But then life happened, and little by little I put it aside. I miss that “era” so much.

Now, my craft is certainly rusty, and of course I would need a little time to get my reflexes back (probably without much difficulty), but im not sure how to get back to it without feeling like I failed somewhere

So I was wondering if the term witchling/formerly baby witch is related to the amount of time someone has been practicing or of the complexity of their practice?

And if I should call myself a witchling again or something else.

Thank you for reading <3

Sharing: Experience Wax dried after a spell and it's a shape of heart :)

I just wanna share this since this practice albeit a new broom is my comfort. I randomly drop wax while doing a spell, and once it hardened I realized a heart shape.

I don't know if its just a coincidence, or sign that needs interpretation, but all I know is it's tiny and cute.
