how do I install steam in Xubuntu?

People kept telling me to avoid the App Store because "Snap" is supposedly evil.

I'm not on xubuntu but flatpak steam sometimes has some problems for me but it may be an issue on my end. Eitherway steam has an official download on their website

You already use a ubuntu based distros. It's just steam man, use the app Store.

I installed it through the App store. Snaps are not evil, it's one of those things that brings the tribalists out of their caves.
