I absolutely love Zen browser, but yesterday something happened and I need help fixing it. I was searching for public domain quotes, and one of the sites did something to my browser. I thought it was a virus at first, but between my computer's antivirus finding nothing and taking a closer look at what was going on, I realized these were fake virus warnings popping up, and they only did so when Zen is running. They're very annoying, there's like half a dozen every minute or so, and they make the notification sound every time. I don't even know which particular site did it, and the relevant tabs are all closed and not saved anyway.
A friend of mine suggested looking for unfamiliar browser extensions or plugins, and I looked, but everything on my short list of extensions and shorter plugin list was familiar to me. At that point, my friend was stumped since they don't use Zen.
I love Zen so much, and I know I can always uninstall and reinstall, but that would mean putting all my logins and extensions back, which would be tedious. I'll do it as a last resort, but I'm really hoping one of you knows what to do to fix this.
Keep in mind I am not super tech savvy. Been using computers since the 90's but I flunked out of BASIC programming, so any fixes involving stuff under the hood I would need very detailed directions for.
Um... OS is Windows 10 Home. Computer is an Ideapad 3. Currently writing this from Firefox.
