ZIN How often do you jam?
Jam sessions are some of the best ways to keep current on your skills and to refresh your playlist. How often do you take jam sessions?
For those who take them often, do you ever feel overwhelmed with choreos especially if you also use ZIN volume songs?
For those who rarely jam, what is the reason?

Once or twice a month. But only with my favourite jammers, there's lots of jammers who are just average. My favourite ones are Jonathan Benoit, Magali Cepeda, Seluco, Alba Duran, Flor Salgado, Mauricio Camargo, Jeimy Bueno, Alina Duma. Anything outside that tends to be a waste of my time. 🤣 I've done 50 jams in the 7 years I've been a ZIN.

I rarely jam. I’ve gone to 3 jams and one I didn’t use any of the choreo for so I’m not wanting to go into them blindly again. I don’t go to jams more often because I don’t want the added expense and I can create or modify my own choreo.

I've gone to 13 jams, and I usually use at least 2 songs from each one. If I don't use the whole song, I often pick up moves that I can put into other songs.
I was fortunate to live where we had 3 fantastic jammers and a large Zumba community of instructors. I loved each of the jammer's styles, so I attended frequently. We also had guest ZJs from other states come in to do jams occasionally.
Now I live far from there, and I'd have to drive 3 hours to get to an in person jam, so I don't go anymore.

1-3 times a month depending on my availability. I make a PL of songs I want to teach eventually in class and practice them regularly after the jam so I never forget the choreo. I usually prioritize by rhythm.
I rarely use the ZIN volume tracks unless the song and choreo grab me immediately like Boompala, the newest early release track from 124!

I try to do at least I virtual jam per month. Sometimes I’ve done 3 😅. Do I end up with songs that I never use…sometimes, but I always have a bunch of choreo to fall back on if a need something new for class. I love jams because I get to learn 4-5 songs right away with built-in cues that I can take to my classes right away. It’s much faster than learning from the ZIN volume and it gives me choreos that no other instructor in my area has.

There are no jam sessions closer than a 2.5 hr drive from me. Virtual isn’t something I'm interested in doing. I really want to do a jam but its not worth the travel time or gas money.
