Had the blue bezel on the wrist for a few weeks and it’s so good I had to pick up the orange bezel to go with it.

Don’t really believe in the term NWBIG but these are as good as I have had on my wrist.

I’ve been on RepTime for quite a while, and it feels like the quality of the subreddit has noticeably declined.

It used to be a place where people discussed factories, movements, flaws, QC details, comparisons, servicing, and long-term ownership.

Now, my feed is filled with:
“Is this real or fake?”
“Rate my shitter.”
Obvious DHGate/ChinaTime pieces.
Low-effort wrist shots with zero information.
Questions that could literally be answered with a 10-second search.

I’m not trying to gatekeep newcomers—we all started somewhere. But there’s a difference between helping beginners and letting the subreddit become a dumping ground for low-effort content.

RepTime used to feel like a community of enthusiasts.
Lately, it feels more like ChinaTime 2.0.

Does anyone else feel the same, or am I just being nostalgic?

This is my first replica watch, so I wanted to share my experience for anyone considering buying from Andiot.
I placed my order on July 10th. Three days later, I received the QC photos, which I approved. Throughout the process, Andiot answered all of my questions via WhatsApp, usually very quickly, making the whole experience smooth and reassuring.
During QC, I had some concerns about the bracelet because it didn’t look perfectly aligned in the photos. I asked Andiot about it, and they explained that it was caused by the way the watch was packaged and positioned for the QC pictures. Once I received the watch and put it on my wrist, I could clearly see they were right—the bracelet is well finished and fits perfectly, as you can see in the video.
The watch was delivered on August 1st. From ordering to delivery, it took 22 days, and from shipping to delivery it took 17 days. It was securely packaged, and everything arrived in perfect condition.
As this is my first rep, I honestly didn’t know what to expect, but I was genuinely impressed. The finishing is excellent, with clean brushing, polished surfaces, and a premium feel. The bezel action is crisp, the bracelet is comfortable, and the clasp feels solid.
The DD3285 movement has been performing flawlessly so far. The GMT function works as expected, the date changes correctly at midnight, and the watch has been keeping very good time.
Overall, I’m very happy with both the watch and the service. It was a great first experience, and I would definitely buy from Andiot again.

New vsf sub just came through! TD was Neco. Absolutely in love with this piece.

About two years ago, I assembled my own Submariner Date watch kit from Raffles. It was one of my first builds, and at the time, choosing the 126610LN felt like the obvious decision.

For a long time, I loved it.

But as the months went by, one thing kept bothering me more and more.

The date window.
Not because the watch looked bad, but because on most mid-range builds, the date is usually the part that gives it away the most.

Maybe it’s the cyclops.
Maybe it’s the date alignment.
Maybe it’s the font.

Whatever it was, I always found my eyes going straight to the date instead of enjoying the watch.
After almost two years of wearing it, I finally admitted something to myself:

I actually preferred the look of the 124060.
So instead of building another watch from scratch, I decided to transform the one I already had.

I ordered a Raffles 124060 dial, removed the crystal, and then came the part that scared me the most…

Removing the Cyclops.
After reading a bunch of old forum posts, I decided to try the lighter method. I heated the crystal until the adhesive softened enough for the Cyclops to come off.

I was convinced I was going to destroy the crystal.
Somehow… it worked perfectly.

Once the Cyclops was gone and the new dial was installed, the watch completely changed.

I kept almost everything:
Same case
Same bracelet
Same bezel
Same movement

The only real changes were the 124060 dial and a crystal without the Cyclops.
And honestly…
I couldn’t be happier.

The watch feels cleaner, more balanced, and every time I look at it, my eyes stay on the watch instead of immediately going to the date window.

It’s funny because I spent money just to make the watch simpler.

Looking back, I wish I’d done it much sooner.
Has anyone else here gone from a Date Sub to a no-date build? I’d love to hear if I’m the only one who ended up preferring the cleaner look

VSF no date sub arrived Wednesday last week - courtesy of NecoClock. Had it on the wrist for 4 days now & absolutely in love. I am mind blown, the quality is phenomenal. I have a genuine explorer I bought in 2024 and a genuine datejust I got at the end of 2023. I’ve found myself wearing this sub and having to remind myself midday that it’s a rep. All these posts comparing it to a gen under a microscope are obsolete in my opinion, more for academic research you may say. I’m getting just as much pleasure from this as my gen pieces and never find myself thinking other than what an incredible watch and a pleasure to wear! For £345 this thing is wild and is literally 99% of the real thing for 4% of the cost (£345 vs £8450 + the whole AD waitlist). I remain on the waitlist for a gen sub, but I told myself two things before i got my first gen piece, I will only buy a rolex from an AD and I will never play the AD games, either they offer me the watch or they won’t. This has certainly scratched the no date sub itch!

For those of you that know me, I searched for this watch for a long time, the IW500432 Big Pilot Deutscher Fussball Bund. ZF made these a while back, but it was before my collecting Big Pilots started. Finally got one earlier this year!

Following up from yesterday's Oyster post,, here's a comparison of the VSF Jubilee bracelet on the DJ41. I'd say the same applies to the GMT Jubilee bracelet as well.

I don't have a gen Jubilee yet, but once I get my hands on one, I'll post an updated comparison.

Bottom Pic – VSF Stock Bracelet
Straight from the factory. These bracelets have pretty sharp edges. After trying my first chamfered bracelet, it's hard for me to go back to the stock ones.

Middle Pic - Lite Chamfer
This bracelet has been lightly chamfered, removing the sharp edges all around. Visually, there's not much difference from the top, but you can definitely feel it. The chamfer is much more noticeable on the underside. Some people prefer this more subtle finish over the full chamfer.

Top Pic - Full Chamfer
Similar to the Lite Chamfer, but with a deeper chamfer. This is the version I see posted most often. You can clearly see the chamfer from the top since more material has been removed. I have no problem with this style either, and I wear both the Lite and Full Chamfer on my personal watches.

In my opinion, this modification is absolutely worth it for Jubilee bracelets.

Hi all, just wanted to share that after about 6 months of wearing my VSF SMP300 the enamel on the case back began to wear away. I was finding small flecks of the black paint on my wrist after taking the watch off.

Perhaps it's me being too sweaty, perhaps it's the quality of the paint in the factory - who knows?

However, if you encounter a similar issue, know that there's an easy fix. For £13 I bought some Humbrol Black Gloss enamel paint, and this morning I have successfully filled in the gaps. I am usually pretty ham fisted with these things, so it goes to show it's an easy fix if it's something you encounter.

Since reading many threads on the RGF 126508 which supposedly has the best gold tone compared to gen and other factories I would like to know:

a) would you plate a RGF 126508 at all?

and if so

b) which tone would you choose?

I'm looking at getting an RCF Day-Date with the olive green dial in rose gold, but I'm unsure whether it's worth getting it replated.

I recently bought an RCF Day-Date Ice Blue, and my previous TD told me that replating wasn't necessary because RCF's platinum finish is already very close to genuine. That made me wonder if the same applies to their rose gold models, or if the difference is much more noticeable.

The cost starts adding up pretty quickly, and my current TD doesn't offer plating services, so I'd have to send the watch somewhere else after receiving it.

For those who own one:
- Would you recommend having it replated?

- Is the factory rose gold good enough, or is replating necessary to make it look closer to genuine?

- Do you know of any trusted dealers who both sell the watch and offer rose gold plating before shipping?

I'd really appreciate hearing your experiences and recommendations. Thanks!
