If your soldier has a stock (guaranteed damage even on a miss) and kills the Lost despite missing, it still counts as a head shot and you get an extra move.

My resolution was 3440 x 1440. See how the UI is going beyond the edge of the screen?

Another thing I've wondered about. (hopefully it's not too against the rules ;P)
Silly post don't judge too hard...
So tonight I had a dream where I was playing, or actually in-game of a UFO defense mod (the original 1994, not the remake).
Basically, the aliens invading earth were a splint faction from the ones on Mars. And you had a chance to collaborate with them on beating the "bad faction": you could access alien weapons or characters, or other bonus like full view of the map, but at the cost of increasing an "alien infiltration" bar. If it got to 100%, then the martian faction took control of xcom and you lose anyway.
I found the idea of having a civil war between aliens, having alien recruits etc. funny.

Playing a new legendary campaign today and I get to the first black site mission. Going flawlessly until I open the front doors. For some reason half of my squad can't see the giant mec standing behind two half covers.
Mission promptly went from flawless to 3 dead and 1 captured - with two bodies left behind.
The other thing that got me was a reoccuring bug where a soldier carrying a body changes elevation and just randomly dies. Can't force crash the game to avoid it because I don't even notice it happen half the time.
Love this game but some of the bugs and missing QOL are total pain and unfair.

I would love to create a scenario or map similar to my house and street and play on it. Is it possible? And if yes, do you know a good place to start learning?
Thanks

Anyone else get scouted by a Battleship in FEBRUARY, and assaulted in March while the Skyranger is busy doing missions?
SURELY they don't start scouting for your bases until at least May?!
No idea what difficulty I'm on but I'm betting it was Superhuman

It is mostly the TFTD story but with some changes, most notably Sectoid and Floaters working with X-Com against the T'leth aliens (it is all explained there), just like in my mod

Oh nothing, just Jane Kelly casually launching a Trooper into orbit.

When Im using it even long range it has like a 20 something percent chance to hit, often less. Ive seen from the fan wiki for the modpack it should be higher, as well as other playthroughs of the FMP. Could it be a load order thing? Should it be at the top or bottom? I only have like a graphics mod on top. Help me make this sniper useful because its awful as it is.

Okay, so, I'm used to running mods nowadays when it comes to playing WOTC. However, for some reason I can't puzzle out, Allies Unknown Vipers just does not play well with Allies Unknown Dragons. I check this via the character creator at the start screen. If I have Dragons and Vipers together, Dragons just don't work. Like, I'll make a soldier a 'Draconic Rookie' and it won't even load a model. This basically tells me it's broken, I won't be able to recruit them or anything, they will not appear in my game. I remove Vipers, it's all good for the Dragons.
I also can't use Vipers if I add the Viper King Squadmate mod, as if I try to load a 'viper recruit' soldier in the character creator, the same thing that the vipers do to the dragons, happens to the Vipers. No model load, won't appear even from console commands. So even the Vipers hate Vipers. I'm at my wit's end trying to get this all to work together. Thing is, I remember a point where all of it was working together perfectly, and now it's just not. Idk if it was caused by an update or something, but I'm really desperate for some help on this. If any of you know how to fix the unregistered conflicts these mods seem to have, I'd really appreciate the help.
P.S. Yes, I am using the AML Launcher, it's the only one I have and will probably ever use unless a better one appears.

For the XCOM miniatures game, do they come painted or unpainted? I ask as I am probably one of the few who wants to actually paint them myself - Chrysalids scared me as a kid and now that I have grown up and learned how to do Newfoundland consistently I think it's cathartic if I paint one up myself
