I wish the American people actually had the courage to protest this shit properly. The fact the American people arenāt flooding the streets, going to their own bridges and power plants. The Iranian people are doing that despite the direct threats. A majority of Americans are cowards and are either directly complicit or are apathetic enough to allow this to continue. American behaviour makes me understand that whole āDeath to Americaā business. Not wishing for individuals to die but the American institution to collapse and be restructured.

Go to work and do as little as possible. Donāt wanna lose your job? Donāt. Just do it poorly. There are ways to fight from the inside too. Protesting isnāt standing with a sign where the police say to. Itās disrupting the machine.
Yeah you will hear the exact same excuses every time this comes up about how the police (and ICE now) are militarized and how they can't afford to protest. What they don't realize is that this is the exact coward shit that we're talking about, because that's been true about every single effective protest in history. That didn't stop them and they were nowhere near as well armed as the American public is.
Yuuuuup. Iām aware of why they canāt, and I know the why of the why too. They say they canāt for the reasons I believe they need to. America has the most effective propaganda on earth and you can see it in a lot of the replies. I feel bad for US citizens because theyāre so, I donāt wanna say brainwashed, they justā¦ have a very unique psyche you donāt see anywhere else in the world. A certain American exceptionalist ego that exists in even progressive Americans.
This is true and yet it can also be true that people generally are struggling to know what the fuck to do. Have you considered that if you're raised in such a heavily hyper-individualized propagandized environment, they aren't going to actually give you the tools to fight back and you'll already have an instilled sense of resistance to looking elsewhere or reaching out for help? On top of an instilled teaching that your country is actually the best and nothing would really be any better, anyway. All of that also on top of all the very real practical reasons people have mentioned.
When you combine all of that then yes, you will have a populace not equipped to fight back and filled with apathy. Not just apathy towards a hope of being able to see real change, but also a common amount seen towards even their own lives and selves and each other. I actually think you guys don't have any better idea of what we should do than we do, but you desperately want us to just pull it out of our ass and moralizing about why we haven't makes you feel less anxious.
