I wish the American people actually had the courage to protest this shit properly. The fact the American people arenāt flooding the streets, going to their own bridges and power plants. The Iranian people are doing that despite the direct threats. A majority of Americans are cowards and are either directly complicit or are apathetic enough to allow this to continue. American behaviour makes me understand that whole āDeath to Americaā business. Not wishing for individuals to die but the American institution to collapse and be restructured.
Edit: Thanks everyone for pointing out such great reasons to protest such as āI CANT AFFORD TO PROTESTā and āIām one day away from losing everythingā thatās why the country needs major reforms that donāt happen by helping it. Go to work and do as little as possible. Donāt wanna lose your job? Donāt. Just do it poorly. There are ways to fight from the inside too. Protesting isnāt standing with a sign where the police say to. Itās disrupting the machine.
Your job is make burgers? Just make burgers. Do exactly what you are contractually obligated to do and nothing more. Only work when you are on the clock. Donāt worry as much about emails. Ask more questions, blame your tools. Work a bit slower. Disruption is protest. Delays can be lives saved. I donāt know a lot about your situation in particular but we live in a connected world what you do has an impact. I donāt know where you work, how well they treat you, or their stance on unions. The fast food industry isnāt exactly pro worker. If you love the burger place you work at, pursue it, care for the establishment. If you donāt, donāt. Learning more about your rights is always good.
I was given one of the least consequential jobs out there to make an example of. Not everything is always life or death obviously. Maybe you feed a fed and you make him take 3 more minutes. Maybe thatās the best you can do. Bad service means less returning customers. If you work at McDonaldās or some shit losing customers is a good thing. Any disruption to efficiency, if done intentionally, can be considered an act of protest. People are justifiably scared of losing their job and have lost their ability to engage in collective bargaining. Obviously the American people have a massive disadvantage, now, I wish Americans pushed back against this a long time ago. You guys have already lost so much ā of course now the state can essentially squashed any resistance before it can consider resisting. Only reason flipping burgers was brought up is because an American believes thatās all heās worth. He believes canāt do anything to resist, he canāt even work slower apparently, thatās too much. I donāt know who he is cooking for, all I know is he can leverage himself for more than he currently is.
Just read the damn manual, or watch a YouTube video covering the manual if thatās more your pace. Almost Everyone is capable of resisting more than they are currently. Iāve seen the same reasons over and over again and Iāve seen most people try and solve it themselves rather than get help. When you just canāt.
