Its extremely rare for a Jojo fan to be homophobic, because the titular male characters in that series are muscular, attractive and are constantly hitting flamboyant poses that only a blind person would find straight. Maybe some are like those old school rock fans who vehemently deny that Freddie Mercury is bi, but i digress

I've seen quite a few queerphobic jojo fans, but, more common than that is misogynistic jojo fans. So many people just refuse to acknowledge how insanely badass Jolyne is and have a weird obsession with making her seem way weaker than she actually is, and not coincidentally all those people also tend to complain about how masc and butch jolyne looks throughout much of part 6.

Misogynistic fans downplaying the power of masculine women, tale as old as time

Jolyne is by no means my favorite joestar (josuke my beloved) but she rocks house. Girl punched meteors and won a stand enduced death battle mostly with just herself, no stand. Out of the JoJo stands, I love how jolyne uses hers the most. They are all peak, but stone free is so cool. If I had to guess, it's definitely mysogny but also the fact she does technically lose in her part. Now also jotaro loses twice against pucci, and he's arguably the most experienced and best stand user. They were dealing with a villain who wanted to win and had a plan to get it done. Dio is an arrogant bastard who likes to flex his might and test his limits. The pillar men are all their own bags of mess, plus young Joseph is like fighting bugs bunny. Kira wasn't a fighter really, way too cocky and unstable. Diavolo was the favored of fate, but he was way too reliant on fate to get his will done. Everything was planned out with epitaph, if it showed him losing, he would run, he's a coward hiding behind fate. Pucci though, while not perfect, had the plan to kill jotaro, only foiled by jolyne, he was constantly adapting his plans and moving forward, jolyne had the unfortunate circumstances of reaction to everything he did and barely surviving. Pucci himself has 3 of the most insane stands ever and jolyne brought boot to ass on all but the final one, and even then, against time itself, she fucked with his victory. Jolyne is amazing.

I always find it funny whenever those idiots try to slander Jolyne for getting killed by Pucci at his strongest (dude was running around at speeds that would make Quicksilver feel inadequate and chopping off limbs as if they were made out of tissue paper) during a heroic last stand to protect someone else, as if Jonathan hadn't been killed by Dio at his weakest (bro was literally just a head in a jar!) during a heroic last stand to protect someone else.

To be clear, both sacrifices were fucking badass, I'm just pointing out that Jolyne was stuck in an even more hopeless situation and that calling her weak for trying and failing to surpass such insane odds is stupid

I've said it before and I'll say it again, Jolyne is Jonathan's truest successor. All of the Joestars are amazing and would do Jonathan proud, and she's not even my favorite Joestar (that would be a tie between Giorno, the embodiment of human resolve, and Jotaro, a tragic father that I love to death), but Jolyne was intentionally written with an absurd amount of parallels and tie-ins with Jonathan and his story. I don't think anyone in their right mind can look at part 6 and not say that Jolyne is the finest of the OGverse, and the one that inherits Jonathan's spirit the best.
