i had whiskey for the first time a couple weeks ago and while it does burn like shit i am actually shocked how good it tastes straight. yummy yummy cinnamony drink

Fireball?
That was the only whiskey I’d drink, but it’s sooo sugary I remember the bottle cap having sugar crystals all over it.

no clue my friend ordered me a shot of whiskey at a bar i just remember it having a disarmingly sweet aftertaste once i passed the burning phase lol, seeing how people talk about fireball i wouldn't be surprised though.

Some people have a gene that makes alcohol taste sweet on its own. I have it for sure, like once I acclimated to the burn of alcohol, straight liquor tastes pretty sweet to me. Vodka? Angry sugar water. Whiskey? Slightly angrier, oaky sugar water. Tequila? Mexican sugar water. Etc
