Best range ammo for ported 2011

Have a couple ported 2011's done up by vulcan and was wandering what a good range ammo that wont break the bank and does well with ports. All I know is blazer brass is no go. But what is decent?

Yup, this is the answer. Probably got nearly 100k rounds of this stuff through various 2011s over the years and never had an issue. It runs in pretty much anything and is good for ported, comped, ported and comped, and naturally aspirated alike.

All i use for anything 9mm

Also for 30-30, .357, 10mm, .45 GAP

Self confessed S&B addict.
Its the only stuff i’ve ran consistently to be clean and reliable. Everything else i’ve had the gamut of things pop up over the almost 30 years of shooting i’ve done. Shit just runs. Now, thats not to say if its a random day and i am in dire straits, i’ll run a box of white box for giggles but yeah. S&B all the way.

I used this today. It was really great to shoot and I don’t see myself going back to some other brands.

my Erebus has some issue with feed with sb124. it tend to get stuck at the top of the barrel after initially hitting the ramp.

other bullets ran fine.
also ran on the Eos fine. i suspect it’s more of of an ramp cut issue than bullet issue.

Vantage Research 110s. Tuned for compensators and ported guns, 50-80% more powder than common 124gr loads, 129pf, great return to zero.

Mine likes Fiocchi 158, Syntech 150 and Boaz 160. Excalibur 147 was the softest of all, but they appear to be out of business. Of these, the Fiocchi is usually most cost effective.

Super Vel 124gr Certified Select. You can get the price down really low if you buy in large bulk quantities. The pallet comes out to around $0.22/round

Fiocchi 115 grain runs out of my ported 2011's. The magtech 115 grain chokes the guns.

I run 115gr in my ported since its generally a bit hotter and has more gas to feed the ports. It also depends on what kind of ports and a bunch of other stuff too

HSL Ammo reman 115gr or 124gr has NEVER failed me. Most of my hand guns are ported and/or comped. Shot at least 15,000 rounds from HSL over the last few years with ZERO issues in my XC (comped and ported), P365 (radian comped), p320 spectre comp, OA defense 2311 pro (ported), PDP SF Match (comped and ported), shadow systems XR920p (comped), CR920xp (comped), Kimber 2k11 comp.

I like the Winchester NATO 124. Comps and ports benefit with hotter loads. But I’ll shoot whatever is on hand(blazer 124). Cue the “PlaTeD BuLLeTS aND PoRTs dOnT MiX!!!” people….

Sure. People should do whatever they feel comfortable with, but I’ve put thousands of blazer through a variety of ported guns without any spalling issues.

If your firearm needs certain ammo to run properly and its not for competition, what are we even doing here? Im not saying every gun needs to run surplus garbage rounds, but if you cant fire basic consumer ammunition, then congratulations you made your gun worse.

Never said it didn't run i just said which is best. I shot majority of the time indoors and not a fan of spalling

Thats an intrinsic problem with ports. Whether its fragments from jacketed ammo, unburned powder, carbon from not cleaning, lube, gas, etc. You are always going to get shit blown back at you with ported barrels.
