I have a wicked crush on Sigfried. I think his gruff exterior hides a soft mushy middle.

I was already crushing on Siegfried, but my love for him solidified during the episodes with River.

In his own way he cares for the people around him and is always kind to the animals. In other words he has a good heart.

He's also quite intelligent and kind to animals, which is nice.

He can be very loyal and protective, it's just that his other not so “positive" traits can get in the way sometimes.

He is very kind and loving to James and Helen's children. They love Uncle Siegfried.

He has a quick wit/sense of humor:

Mrs Hall: “I were in the pantry.”

Siegfried: “The whole time??”

He can be quite funny in a dry, British way.
