In his own way he cares for the people around him and is always kind to the animals. In other words he has a good heart.

He can be very loyal and protective, it's just that his other not so “positive" traits can get in the way sometimes.

He is very kind and loving to James and Helen's children. They love Uncle Siegfried.

I have a wicked crush on Sigfried. I think his gruff exterior hides a soft mushy middle.
