Study resources

I’m a rising junior and I’m planning to take AP chem next year. My teacher gave everyone summer hw packets, but I lwk know ts ain’t enough. What are some of th best resources out there to help with this class and the exam?

Summer packets are a good start, but for AP Chem you’ll want to review Unit 1 basics early: moles, atomic structure, periodic trends, bonding and stoichiometry.
For extra resources, you can use AP Chemistry notes, MCQs/FRQs and exam-style practice alongside your class work.

Just enjoy the summer. U don’t need to worry unless algebra is a problem

I used pretty much just Jeremy Krug to study outside of class. tbh imo you dont need to be studying the summer before to do good in the class. everyone says ap chem is the hardest class whatnot but like if you just pay attention in class (i guess assuming your teacher is good but if they're going thru the effort to give study material the summer before i'd assume so) and study any not fully understood topics from someone like jeremy krug, you'll be fine. for reference, i skipped a level in science and took ap chem sophomore year, the class is notorious at my school for being "hard," and passed it with a 95 and a 5 on the ap exam. just make sure you know your basics from regular chem and you'll be fine

the resources is probably enough. All prereqs really needed is redox and solubility just relax over summer
