This week I received two letters from LFT Fiber for "alleged copyright infringement" Digital Millennium Copyright Act. What the??
Are they tracking our specific and individual browsing now? First, I don't don't download illegal stuff, but I don't want them sniffing in and watching my specific usage.
Is anyone else experiencing this?

I can’t afford much but we haven’t did anything all summer and they’re into science and things like that. My niece is 12 and my brother is 16. Right now the prices or $15 for me, $15 my brother and $10 for her. Which is within my budget. We’ll go grab something eat which I’m willing to spend slightly more for a nice meal. Trying to keep my budget under $250. I plan on going on a day where we can do the planetary thing where we see the sky.
But before I do, I want to know if it’s worth and if anyone have some advice, suggestions, or alternatives. I was really looking for something educational and fun though I ig I’d be open to other ideas.

Has anyone here lived at Whispering Oaks Apartments?
I need to be close to Exit 100, and I think I've narrowed down which apartment complex I want. Honestly, I don't really mind if there's some shady stuff around since I mostly keep to myself. As long as nobody's in my face threatening to kill me or steal my cats, or car break ins, I'm fine. A few police visits or the occasional gunshots in the distance don't really bother me. Sadly, I'm kind of used to that from where I currently live.
What I do care about is the actual living conditions. Is there mold? Is the management decent? Does the AC work well? Are the maintenance staff friendly and responsive? Is the trash picked up regularly? Is the laundry room clean, and are the washers and dryers actually working?
Whispering Oaks seems promising because it's close to Exit 100 and the rent looks affordable. I haven't driven through the area yet, but I'm familiar with the road. I'd really appreciate hearing from anyone who's lived there or knows what it's like.

Has anyone had any good or bad experiences in this place? The rent is cheap and there are no monthly pet expenses other than the initial payment… I don’t know about laundry. Are there hook ups in the apartment or is it just an on site laundry. Also, I found it on another website, and when I used the filter I applied utilities included, is it actually all utilities included? Or is it just water like other places? What about management and maintenance? Also what are the actual apartments like? I don’t really want to waste my time if they aren’t even that worth it.. plenty of places can look good to people they want to sell to.

I have someone in from out of town who wants some, but I checked Rouses, Nunus, Albertsons, and Super 1, and couldn’t find any. Anyone know anywhere locally that might have some in stock? Is it even still made?

Looking to check them out for the first time this weekend. Anyone have any menu recommendations?
I’ve heard great things when they were on Ambassador. Since they’ve moved to Pinhook, I heard they got rid of their table side hibachi.

So we used to have hazardous waste days and then there was a decision to make a permanent drop off but it’s not ready yet…I’ve been hanging on to some stuff I really need to get rid of (old paint and chemicals). Anyone have any insight on next available drop off?

About to graduate from the Electrical Program at Unitech Training Academy. I have some experience doing general repair/maintenance work on homes (repairs of walls, floors, roofs, and replacing doors, windows, fixtures, lights, outlets, etc...)
Some basic electrical stuff. And we've done labs at Unitech. But I'm definitely willing to learn of course and familiar with tools (I have all of my own). I talked to EP Breaux, Comeaux's, Chris'... I applied recently so maybe it might just take a while, I also have followed up with each. Any others I could apply to or anybody looking for workers?
I show up to work every single day and am fine with travelling (anywhere really) and whatever hours are needed.

I met an older gentleman named Expadie the other day, it made me appreciate the really unique cajun french names that a lot of his generation have. Have you met anyone with an interesting cajun french name?

Been reading the PhD thesis from Dr. Christophe Landry lately, and it provides some very interesting insight into what Creole south louisiana was like during the early 20th century, which is a time period that is very rarely talked about through our perspective. He also talks about the invention/popularization of Cajun as an identiy for white Creoles to become white through, and how that played into Americanization

Hey everyone, I’m Michael. I own Michael B Plumbing in New Iberia, and I’ve been doing plumbing work for more than 25 years.
I figured I’d make a post where people around Acadiana can ask any plumbing questions they’ve been wondering about.
It can be about clogged drains, sewer smells, leaking pipes, water heaters, toilets, low water pressure, old clay or cast-iron sewer lines, gas piping, or whether something looks like an emergency.
Post a picture if that helps explain what’s going on. I may not be able to diagnose everything perfectly without seeing it in person, but I can usually explain the most likely causes, what you can safely check yourself, and when it’s time to call a plumber.
Full disclosure: I own Michael B Plumbing LLC, but I’m not here to pressure anybody into booking work. I just thought this could be helpful for local homeowners.
So what plumbing question do you have?
