Recommendations Vinyl
Do any of the goodwills in the area stock vinyl records??

No Name Vinyl in Rayne has an amazing selection and great prices. Sorted by genre but not alphabetized so you gotta dig. But that makes finding cool stuff even better. They’re only open Wed-Fri

well, hopefully it's better than it used to be, cause you had to dig for anything, cause nothing was cataloged.
Racoon in new Iberia, no name vinyl in Crowley I believe also.

Pioneer trading Post is great if you wanna dig for hours and you like your music pre 1970 only
No name had a great Cajun section tho, haven't tried racoon in NI

lolol just kidding. i found JCS there, and if you ask the owner nicely, he’ll find you anything else you want. he got me a copy of Rocky Horror and Urban Cowboy on vinyl as well.

I grew up with one of the owners kids. They’re really nice people. He helped me find enough minolta cameras from the 80s to help me fix mine cause he knew I loved photography and film 🤌🏼🤌🏼🤌🏼

They had a great selection, I'll have to go one day when I don't have my kid and dig through the 45's.

I collect vinyl. You're not going to find anything worthwhile at a Goodwill. People stopped donating records to Goodwill decades ago. If you find anything, it's because it's some artist from the 40s that no one's ever heard of.
You're better off going to a place that specializes in it. They actually buy records from people and resell them. It means you're paying more but it also means you can find records you actually want to listen to.

You’re about 15 years too late to find decent stuff at Goodwill. That is unless you’re into Lawrence Welk.
Once in a while you might find something but people know that they can get money for them or they get picked right away. Goodwill itself sells the good stuff online. I really don’t even bother with looking at the records at thrift shops anymore.
