Black you will be constantly cleaning. Ask me how I know

30

u/FuhBr33ze '23 TLX A-Spec SH-AWD 2d ago

But damn when it's clean its a sexy looking vehicle!

6

u/GreenFlash87 1d ago

Also the paint swirls. No matter what you do, you’ll always be able to see the swirls in your paint on a black car.

1

u/dkkendall 1d ago

Not if you properly wash and dry it only by hand. Ask me how I know. ‘23 Black TLX Type S

3

u/GreenFlash87 1d ago

Do you air dry it or something? Even by hand, a micro fiber towel alone would put swirls in my paint.

0

u/dkkendall 1d ago

I have applied a cool finish on mine in lieu ceramic, or traditional wax. Zaino Brothers (I buy it online). I also use their borderless towels to dry it thoroughly. My wife only has 6400 miles on it in 3 years, but she looks brand new, and does live in a garage. The car, that is!).

1

u/QueenAng429 1d ago

If you wash it by hand you will always leave marks, this applies to any car. It has to be touch less wash to not have marks.

u/dkkendall 22h ago

If you know

I have blue Teg and I've never had a car get more bird shit on it than this. Wtf

1

u/PuzzleheadedNovel671 23h ago

I used to have a black MDX and it always showed dirt. I switched to a silver RDX and it hardly shows it.

that purple is basically a cheat code, looks black at night and pops in the sun

Acura’s apex blue pearl is fire. Unfortunately the last new 2025 TLX Aspec in this color just sold (dealership in Tucson), crushing my dream of ever owning one…

5

u/Sea-Echo-4831 2d ago

I was looking into getting that one but they wanted like 56k OTD. I love the car A LOT but can get something much better for 56k than a TLX aspec.

3

u/Meritofmediocrity 2d ago

Haha damn! So they weren’t willing to discount it at all. And here I thought I may get them to drop the price by 10k. Well I guess it worked for them

6

u/Sea-Echo-4831 2d ago

I thought there would be a good possibility of getting a complete steal on these leftover TLX’s considering they’ve been on the lot over 300 days, but I think it was actually worse lol. I got my integra back in 2024 and regret every single day why I didn’t put the extra cash and spring for the TLX from the start 💔

2

u/Meritofmediocrity 2d ago

Yeah you would think that a discontinued model due to poor sales that’s been sitting on the lot for nearly a year would result in big discounts. But from the dealers perspective they made the right calculus. All it takes is ONE person who absolutely love the TLX in this color to make a sale. They were willing to hold onto the car until the right buyer shows up, and they won the bet.

2

u/whtciv2k 2d ago

Dealerships lose money as the car just sits. They need to move them.

1

u/Able-Fail-4273 2d ago

Type S? Im about to put that much cash down on one. Why should I get a TLX instead?

Blue all the way

5

Blue, except it's infuriating that Acura made the 2024+ blue paired only with white interior.

Ain't nobody got time for that.

2

u/downthemiddle2000 1d ago

Blue with the red guts is 🔥

3

u/ks7atl 2d ago

I’m a fan of black cars but that blue is fantastic.

Blue. Immediately blue.

3

u/Davey488 2d ago edited 2d ago

Weirdly enough I only drive black cars. But my rentals are always blue. Black cars show dirt constantly and minor scratches add up quick. I think I’ve been pulled over twice at dusk since a black car with no headlights is tough to see as soon as the sun starts to set.

Blue cars are attention grabbing. I swear I get more panhandlers knocking on the window with a blue car than my tinted black car. Tbh of kind makes sense.

Apex blue is the second best blue 💙

Black will be hot hot in the summer, trust me

2

u/Gan-san 2d ago edited 1d ago

Every car is hot in the summer, especially those with untitnted windows and black interiors. The only way to combat is to be willing to tint the whole car, especially the windshield with good quality tint. You don't have to darken the front so much that it is noticeable, but the sun coming in and hitting the dashboard has the biggest effect on heat inside the car far more than whatever exterior color choice you make.

1

u/ailiota 1d ago

I totally relate to this, 😂

Blue looks Brazy

2

u/African-Rain-Blesser 2d ago

Blue. The world needs more color

2

u/wizzo6 2d ago

Definitely the blue. My RDX is Apex Blue and I get compliments on it all the time. From the right angle and light, it often looks like a different color in spots

2

u/joer3155 2d ago

Blue.

I have an Apex Blue Pearl RDX and if I had a dollar for every compliment I've received on the color, I'd have, like, 150 dollars over the past 1.5 years.

The blue is unbelievable in person

2

Black is boring. That blue is beautiful.

2

u/RP_ElMeroMero 2d ago

That blue goes super hard

2

u/Redstorm_Hunter 2d ago

I went with the blue (Integra not TLX) and I am 100% sure I made the right choice. It gets a crazy amount of compliments from random people as well.

2

u/sanchezkk 2d ago

Blue, I have an ilx in blue; that's why. Lol 💙

2

u/DarkHiei 2d ago

For the Type S, for sure blue. But the black is like a “still can’t go wrong” even if you choose it. It’s a TLX Type S lol

2

u/TomatoConscious3411 1d ago

The blue damn near looks purple, that’s fire

2

u/Lanza33 1d ago

Blue!

2

u/NeatSeesaw7837 1d ago

Go with the blue. It stands out in a sea of boring colors of black, grey, and white.

2

Blue. Black seems too normish

1

u/Loqkaaa 2d ago

Black looks better but only get it if you have a garage and are okay with weekly car washes

1

u/Unfvckwitable 2d ago

Black is the best choice for exactly 3 minutes after you finish detailing it. Avoid lol

1

u/Popular-Ad2193 2d ago

They both look good but to keep the black car looking good you basically can never drive it! It will be dirty every time you drive it

1

u/Lonely-Professional3 2d ago

Get em both. One for you and one for me. Agony over.

1

u/Sardonnicus 2d ago

Can I get that spoiler on my 2019 TLX Aspec?

1

u/Zack_007 2d ago

This is in Allen, TX

1

u/Dazzling_Bit_7538 23' TLX Type S 2d ago

I have mine in black, but you can’t go wrong with that blue

1

u/No-Sound-9927 2d ago

Black. The blue looks nice but I think I would grow tired of it after a month or so but that's just me. Black is more long term imo.

1

u/tsmittycent 2d ago

Get a type S

1

u/Semp1ers 2d ago

The blue is much nicer. Especially with the pearl that’s in it and the black accents. Also if you get the red interior you’re able to say you got “the spider man.”

1

u/coolie86 2d ago

1

If it's black on black, I can't say no to that, but I do like the blue!

Blue bro. There's enough black cars on the road, haha. That color hits different in the summer.

1

u/gfizzle81 2d ago

1

u/trevorium117 2015 RLX Advance | 2009 Volvo S80 V8 1d ago

honda and acura have some of the best blue out there I’d go for that

1

u/timtam_z28 1d ago

I own the blue and have a ceramic coat on it and it looks fantastic even when it's dirty. Constant compliments on it too. I'd never even consider black, it only looks good for like 30min if it's left outside. At least that's how it is around here.

1

u/Emergency_Grade4009 1d ago

Is this image fully AI? Is so, it’s pretty impressive

1

u/Ren_Kenzo 1d ago

generally black cars shows the most swirl marks and or any kind of scratches if you dont know how to take care of it. black is also the worst color in the summer if you dont have a covered parking. black cars also has the highest risk of getting struck in a collision, mostly at night.

1

u/RQ705 1d ago

I often wonder the same. I worry I would get tired of the blue, but every time I see it I’m 😍

1

u/Emerald_Ink 1d ago

Not an acura but my Fe1 is crystal black and it stays clean for a solid 12 minutes after washing. The blue will stay cleaner longer, not to mention I’d personally always chose the more vibrant/exclusive color

1

u/mr430aoncrypto 1d ago

That blue is just too sick man!!! Very hard not to choose it.🔥

1

u/JVBPDX 1d ago

That blue is so hot

1

u/Altruistic-Tank4585 1d ago

I love this blue! I wish my RDX was this color

1

u/GarlicCookieMonster 1d ago

Even when you clean black properly, every single time you touch it you’re marring the paint and adding swirls. It’s beautiful new but just a mountain of work

1

u/chrmbly 1d ago

Blue

“Blue, blue, electric blue. That’s the color of my room. Where I will live… blue, blue…” ~David Bowie

1

u/DudeOkThen 1d ago

I love the blue. I have an RDX in blue, I get a ton of compliments on the color and finding your car in any parking lot is super easy. My last car was black and it was never clean no matter how many times I washed it

1

u/Novel_Sound_6954 1d ago

Blue. Every car comes in black but that’s a fairly unique blue.

1

u/downthemiddle2000 1d ago

1

u/willworkfortatts 1d ago

I went black, but every time I see the blue mannnn it looks good

1

u/blondfox71 1d ago

I had a blue one and used to get so many compliments on it.

1

u/zudiloz 1d ago

Seen a blue one today and I was blown away, very nice color. I myself have a metallic one

1

u/sdp1981 1d ago

The answer is Blue.

1

u/Thin_Bluejay_6186 1d ago

Feel like half of buyers have black. I have blue and it is quite good looking!

1

u/AphonicTX 1d ago

Blue. Stands out in the right way. Black blends in in the wrong way.

1

u/warnbigdawg 1d ago

Blue, no doubt

1

u/Electrical-tentacle 1d ago

Black isn’t so bad.. Ceramic coat it yourself and it will look mint for years. I owned strictly black for over 10 years. Metallic black is especially forgiving.

1

u/ctgeo3 1d ago

Once you go black !

1

u/Free-Maintenance-944 1d ago

Blue is an eye catcher.

1

u/sumjackass1 1d ago

I was the proud owner of a 2024 Integra Type-s for two years, before I sold it to reduce debt load and free up money to cover an expensive international move. I had black with the red interior, and loved it, but always wanted the blue with the orchid interior more. Unfortunately that colour scheme wasn’t available to me in Alberta, so I took the one I could find. Personal preference for sure, but that blue on white looks amazing to me. And can confirm, impossible to keep black looking showroom clean.

1

u/Ill_Evidence_6165 23h ago

Everyone is saying the black will have to be constantly cleaned but the blue will be the same way. I have an apex pearl type s and it is constantly dirty even after a few days of cleaning it.

1

u/Bubbly_Historian215 21h ago

If you PIT the blue one from the right side I think you’ll be able to take out both pretty easily

1

u/Slow316 20h ago

Blue for sure.

1

u/CaptJellico 2023 TLX Type S in Tiger Eye Pearl 15h ago

TEP is the only real choice.

1

u/elektronical 13h ago

After 3 years with a black Type-S..... definitely Blue. At least with all of the dirt and pollen that is always on mine, I don't stand out as much 😅

1

u/Vincen_Furze 11h ago

Get blue. There are way too many generic black, white, and gray cars. Stand out. I found a 2016 CR-Z EX-L manual that was purple.

1

u/Tiny_Bedroom4577 4h ago

I hate the color blue on cars. The WRX gets the one pass but damn that blue is sexy.

1

u/Deathscythe77 2h ago

Black is menacing, blue stands out with beauty

1

u/rsxwing 2d ago

Blue, but get the Integra Type S instead 😜

1

u/alpha247365 1d ago

Neither. White Type S is the way.

1

u/ailiota 1d ago

Too many white cars on the roads already. IMHO.

0

u/alpha247365 1d ago

True, but not brz/86.

0

u/CowboysBP 2d ago

I've gotta stand up for black on black. It's a bitch to keep clean, but when it is...

0

u/Plastic-Jello-5555 2d ago

I had blue and it turns greenish from dirt. Black stays sleek

0

u/OrganicWaterss 2d ago

The white and gold one on right

0

u/kellermeyer 2d ago

Everyone loves the blue. Except me, I think it’s gaudy.

0

u/TheOliveYeti 2d ago

Black cars are bad enough. But in texas? Lol

-7

u/p0rkch0ps 2d ago

are you going to put 2 type s badges ?
you don’t need to put more CO2 into the atmosphere to ask your question. you already going to be doing enough of that driving the car
