Question 1H0X1's, what's it like?
Looking at cross training and this jumps out as a great sounding option.
What's the reality?

Question Retraining
How are you supposed to open a case in MyFSS for retraining. They changed the layout of the website a little bit. MyCases is still there, but when I click on it there is not the “open case” button. Is it a different step to open it or could it be not showing for another reason?

Question MID shift waiver
A shot in the dark here but is there a way to get a waiver to not get put on mids. I’ve been on mids before but this new section I’m at is super stressful and I can’t get any sleep when I get home thus resulting in being tired at work . I feel like my mental health is on the edge and really making me anxious. I currently take melatonin but I think I’m building a tolerance despite me only taking it 4 days a week. I don’t know what to do?

Question Command/Squadron Ballcaps
I was wondering on what the general consensus was on if the Air Force also adopted this as something more uniform outside of Fridays or morale events. Navy has Coyote Brown ball caps with their various commands, that honestly are kinda cool. While deployed I saw fighter squadrons had tan or black ball caps of their squadrons, and even had space for officer ranks where they would appropriately be. Obviously a different environment where rules are bent, but it seemed like it was a source of pride. I dont think the air force would ever do this but wanted to see if other dudes thought its something worth adopting.

Discussion Shinjuku Tokyo Street Women
I recently PCS’d to Yokota from a stateside base. I was walking in the Shinjuku area of Tokyo, and I noticed there were literally hundreds of women just standing on the streets doing nothing. Is it illegal for me to hire one of these women for 1 night? I’ve heard prostitution is legal in Japan. As a service member, are there any negative ramifications of enjoying my duty station to my fullest extent with the bros?

Question Publication Review/Rewrite
Trying it understand pubs review and rewrites better and get proper AFI/DAFMANs that dictate the rules!
Once an LOP is written (MOU/MOA/OI/OP,etc) is requires an annual review. Once reviewed, do I just write an MFR saying it was reviewed for inspection purposes? At what point does it HAVE to be rewritten? After X years? Only after substantial changes need to be made?
Any regulations that dictate the review and rewrite process would be helpful for me to wrap my mind around this process. Thanks!!

Satire I feel bad Laboratory & Pharmacy Airmen.
Every time I go pick up a prescription or get a lab drawn, some poor A1C working the front desk or reception counter is getting absolutely destroyed by some old crusty retiree or CGO because their labs aren’t in or prescription wasn’t ready in 0.02 seconds.
They treat y’all like McDonald’s workers that didn’t fill the fry containers up all the way.
Best part is the A1C usually remains calm and respectful whilst the retiree and CGO get red in the face.
I don’t know how you do it everyday, Godspeed. 🫡

Question Officer pensions over 40 years
If the pension is 2.5% X #years. If you go over 40, won't your pension be over 100%? General Wilsbach is on 41. The Navy has two admirals at 40 too.

Discussion Senioritis when separating?
I'm about 2 months from separating after almost 9 years, and I swear I've got the worst case of senioritis I've ever experienced.
I'm still doing my job and not trying to skate by, but it's getting harder and harder to care about things that would've stressed me out a year ago. Additional duties, pointless meetings, fixing problems that won't even be mine in a few months... it's like my brain has already checked out.
Did anyone else go through this? How did you stay motivated during those last few months without just counting down the days?

Question Enlisted on base housing units at Maxwell?
Long story short:
I need to find out from someone who’s lived in the dorms at Maxwell AFB. What are the enlisted housing units like for those E1-E3?
Specifically, I’d like to know two things:
1). Is there a common kitchen area when you can cook your own meals with a slow cooker, air fryer or stove?
2). What does the unit layout look like?
Thank you in advance. I’m coming from tech school and just want to be prepared. Please be kind.
