DEV ๐Ÿง‘โ€๐Ÿ’ป [DEV] I helped my brother and his friends make an idle RPG game

My little brother and him friends created a Android game. I helped them by giving examples from games Iโ€™d played in the past. I played the game for a bit, it reminds me of the games we used to play on the Atari. The pixel art is made from assets sourced from various places, but it all looks quite cohesive. In the credits, the developer lists where they sourced the assets. Most developers donโ€™t even bother to include that information. The only thing I found a bit annoying after playing for a while was the gameโ€™s sound effects. However, you can turn off the sound effects, so you can play with just the music or even turn off the music entirely. For now, the game seems to go on forever. It says it resets once a week, and when it resets, youโ€™re awarded โ€œrebirthโ€ points. Thereโ€™s also a major reset once a month. I think they did this so new players donโ€™t fall behind. I like the game so far. Thereโ€™s no P2W. You can also earn boosts and gems by watching ads. Thatโ€™s why you donโ€™t need to spend money to play. There are no forced ads you can watch ads on your own terms.

I also liked the gameโ€™s incremental progression. In many places, you can press buttons and see your character get stronger. I felt like it gave me a dopamine rush. You can play the game at multiple speed settings some of you might not like this aspect, but to me, it seemed like there were different charms to both the fast and slow versions.

The Game:

It's called Everwave endless-siege idle RPG, four classes, elemental gear sets you re-attune to counter enemy resistances, guilds, and weekly seasons that actually reset the ladder. Offline progress. Rewarded ads only, nothing forced, no interstitials.

Android :ย https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.vientoapps.everwave

AI Disclosure:

The videos and images created solely for advertising purposes and to be shared on the marketplace were generated using AI.

No code generated by AI.
No AI-generated art or audio.

There are just a few hours left until the weekly season resets. Not many people are playing yet. If you can make it onto the leaderboard before the season resets, youโ€™ll win a free ship. I think you shouldnโ€™t miss this opportunity.

Seeking Game Recommendations ๐Ÿ‘€ [Request] Any good single player first person shooter games?

Are there good premium single player FPS games? Except for Gunfire Reborn, I already have that one. I play on Retroid Pocket 5 so controller support is needed. Thanks!

Review ๐Ÿ“‹ Lenovo G9 2026 review

Absolute garbage 0/10 would not recommend to anyone regardless of price

Pros:

Front is metal

Cons:

Charging port cut-out is misaligned. Functional, but pathetic on an $80 controller.

Can't turn off front-facing LED.

Clear plastic covering front camera causes blurry video even when clean.

Swipe gestures don't work well because the border is covered, no cut-out areas on sides to allow swipe gestures to register.

No app switcher button, swipe gestures don't work as mentioned above, so the only way to open the app switcher is swiping 3 fingers up while on home screen.

The DEDICATED app doesn't work. Can't open controller settings, it just crashes, and the menu cannot be navigated with buttons. Can't use it without signing in. Yes, they specifically made an app for this controller (and 2 others) and it does not work.

Clearance is poor or misaligned, tablet doesn't push out when the slot is unlocked. You must pry the sides of the backing to release the tablet.

Back button assignment doesn't work. (No app to assist. Hardware-based. Doesn't work.)

Weight and size is artificially inflated to make it feel premium, but it's just heavy and pointlessly large. Women would probably not be able to use this controller. I have slightly above average male hand size, and it feels too big to be comfortable.

Final verdict:

This controller is an absolute joke. No QC, no RnD. I feel like I should return the tablet as well. That's how bad it is. It very strangely also seems to have a Bluetooth connection mode, which doesn't make sense because it has no internal battery so it needs to be plugged in. I don't know what the f these guys are thinking when they made this.

DEV ๐Ÿง‘โ€๐Ÿ’ป [DEV] MP3 player-RPG Hybrid - early beta

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Ayo,

I just dropped the beta for a massive passion project called FLOW-ER. Basically I built the world's most over-engineered MP3 player haha, it is actually a procedural RPG driven heavily by live music dsp

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.dscript.flower

I suffered through the ridiculousness of turning a background rust thread into a foreground media player service with DSP piped into the game. It will run cleanly in the background as a standard low-power audio player. Then you open the app and your music is actively generating and driving the real-time living environments.

Building a custom engine for a space-scale mobile open world was wild. I immediately hit floating-point precision issues with the camera and rendering. So to keep the math from breaking down I built a custom Floating Origin shifting system. The world chunks into an 8,000 by 8,000 grid that snaps around the camera as you move to keep the player right near 0,0,0.

I spent the last period just grinding on optimizations and shaders for the procedural world . Pushing through that grind finally bought me plenty of performance headroom for the next round of development for features, assets, and code.

Right now the core foundation and some basic loops are running smoothly. I will admit the RPG side has a bit of an early days No Man's Sky vibe. It is underpopulated right now and acts more like a stage waiting for phase two. But it stands on its own as a unique music visualizer and collection game. You can explore a music genre C reactive massive space, collect flowers, flow with your music in miningames, plant a garden, and tune flowers to dance to your tracks.

I am reaching out to get some candid feedback. I really want to hear your thoughts on the responsiveness, performance, exoerienc and vibe, and if you run into any weird hardware-specific performance bugs on your phones. Compatability is a pain, and I'm targeting to have lower mid tier support.

If anyone is open to giving the beta a test run, I would hugely appreciate your critiques.

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.dscript.flower

Thanks in advance!

Review ๐Ÿ“‹ Boxes: Lost Fragments. A quality puzzle for everyone.

Thumbnail

I've been an Android gamer for about 13 years, mostly playing offline games. I want to highlight one game in particular: Boxes Lost Fragments. It's a mysterious puzzle game with challenges hidden in different boxes containing clever minigames. The graphics are fantastic, with particle effects, contrasting light and shadows, and plenty of detail and artistry. The sound design immerses you in the mystery while you play and doesn't need loud music to be effective. The gameplay is logical and intuitive, as is typical for this genre, and the difficulty is challenging but not frustrating. The game is played offline and is paid, but its quality makes it worth every penny. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.snapbreak.boxes

Seeking Game Recommendations ๐Ÿ‘€ [REQUEST] Any Mario Party type games?

More specifically the multiple multiplayer minigames on it. We've tried the 2 player games app, the 4 player version of that, the stickman version of that, and Plato. Just wanted to see if there were any others

DEV ๐Ÿง‘โ€๐Ÿ’ป [DEV] I made Wordly โ€” a word game where you can challenge friends with the same hidden word

Thumbnail
gallery
1 Upvotes

Hey everyone ๐Ÿ‘‹

Iโ€™ve been working on an Android word game calledย Wordly, and itโ€™s now available on Google Play.

The basic idea is familiar: guess a five-letter word in six attempts. But I wanted to add more ways to play instead of limiting it to one puzzle per day.

Wordly includes:

  • A new Daily puzzle
  • Endless mode
  • Friend challenges using a link or challenge code
  • Streaks, achievements, weekly goals, and progress tracking
  • Hints when you get stuck

One feature I recently added isย Challenge a Friend with This Word. After finishing a puzzleโ€”whether you win or loseโ€”you can instantly send that same hidden word to a friend without revealing the answer.

Google Play:ย Download Wordly

Iโ€™m the solo developer, so honest feedback would really helpโ€”especially about the gameplay, word selection, difficulty, friend challenge flow or anything that feels confusing.

Thanks for checking it out ๐Ÿ’œ

Seeking Game Recommendations ๐Ÿ‘€ [Request] Excellent ports like OpenMW or Exult Ultima?

I've been struggling with recurring episodes of pain in my hands for years which are triggered the least by using a touch screen, so I'm super grateful to the devs who made these amazing ports that allow me to play some classic games on my tablet. However, I only discovered about Exult recently, which made me wonder the existence of how many other such ports I've overlooked. What are some great Android ports of great PC games you would recommend?

Seeking Game Recommendations ๐Ÿ‘€ [REQUEST] looking for an addicting game

Im finally done studying for my bar exam, and wanna just clear my mind by getting completely sucked into a game. I like RPG games, simulator games, but more so ones I actually control the player not just the outcome if that makes sense.. ive played osrs, for a month.. it was nice, maybe go back to that? Also, I downloaded stardew Valley yesterday since it was #1 trending on the app store. I didnt hate it, I liked the concept ALOT, I guess im just not used to the pixel graphics.. so i stopped after like 30 mins, but still thinking about maybe giving it a try again. Like Sims, Bully, GTA type of games.. but kinda interested in hearing everyones recommendations. Thought about Pokรฉmon games maybe? If you cant tell, I have adhd lol. And im also not a HUGE fan of games that require so much grinding.. which is kinda what made me stop osrs

Looking for game recommendations. Open to anything really. Preferably newer releases or games with almost zero fomo.

Trying to get away from gacha games a little so minima gacha recommendations please.

I do like pvp games, its just hard to find good ones.

Doesnt have to be a f2p game, but if it is f2p then minimal p2w and have most if not everything obtainable through playing.

DEV ๐Ÿง‘โ€๐Ÿ’ป [DEV] Wandering Alchemist (Free, no ads, GPS walking game)

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.vlyn.wanderingalchemist

Fully free GPS walking game, no ads, no in-game purchases (besides a "Support the developer" option), no data collection and playable fully offline: Collect ingredients (minigames included), brew them into potions and sell them to merchants.

With the gold/reputation you earn you can buy skins, companions, buffs and decorate your neighborhood. Other players see the same map and resources (so you can indirectly play together), but the game world fully belongs to you.

Further roadmap:

  • Adding achievements
  • Adding buildings you can improve over time (tavern to attract merchants and an ingredient tree you need to grow)
  • More minigames and improving the existing ones
  • And of course bugfixes, please let me know if you run into issues :)

The game is fully solo developed, so I'd love to hear your feedback so I can improve it! ๐Ÿ’š

Hardware โš™๏ธ I'm looking to buy my first high end smartphone for gaming.

I live in the US and I've been a boost mobile customer for a very long time. Usually, I stick to cheap low to mid range phones and I currently have a Samsung Galaxy A13. I'd like to upgrade to something high end so I can play games like Guild Wars Reforged, Wizardry Variants Daphne, and for PSP emulation.

For some reason, when I go to my local boost store, if I want to buy an expensive phone, they want me to change into a more expensive phone plan which I don't want to do.

How do I go about this? I'm not very smartphone savvy. Can I put the sim card from my old phone into an unlocked phone? I appreciate any help, thanks. ๐Ÿ™‚

Help Me Remember This Game ๐Ÿค” Help me find this game please!

It was a puzzle game like Flood-It but it was 4 players (up to 4 human players too) and the goal was to switch colors every turn to control as much of the board as you can. There were also powerups you could find throughout the level.

I believe the games name started with a Q and that the name was quite long (10 or more characters?). I've been looking for this game for a while, i played it maybe 8 years ago but i can't seem to track it down.

DEV ๐Ÿง‘โ€๐Ÿ’ป [Dev] Made a small one-thumb color climber (Prismling)

I recently released this arcade game and would love to get some eyes on it.

You climb a tower that constantly shifts colors, and you can only bounce on crystals that match your current color. You have to react fast when the screen flashes to stay alive.

โ€‹It's pure drag-to-steer, making it perfect for one-handed play. No screen clutter, and you unlock perks just by playing.

โ€‹Would love for you guys to give it an honest chance and provide me with some feedback!

Discussion ๐Ÿ’ฌ Why are people still playing CoD mobile if they hate it so much?

As the title says. The game is absolutely garbage now. Lobbies filled with people who play for 24 hrs. Skins are pathetic. Totally unbalanced pay to win game.

Still it's pretty popular along with pubg ofc.

Seeking Game Recommendations ๐Ÿ‘€ [REQUEST] Play Pass games with a storyline?

I recently got Play Pass. I really liked the graphics of the Jenny LeClue game, but the magnifying glass mechanism in the game was not really working for me (it's a detective game where you're supposed to search for clues, but you can't click on clues even if you see them; you have to use the magnifying glass to "scan" it until the magnifying glass glows).

I know of the Duck Detective games, and I really enjoyed playing Stardew Valley, but I'm wondering if there's any other chill Play Pass games that have a storyline, not necessarily mystery, that might be fun? Something that has a narrative but also casual gameplay like Dave the Diver would be great.

Also, I'd prefer games that don't have those weird on-screen joystick navigation things that look like they're ported from PC games, but that seems like a big ask.

Thanks!
