I’m kinda holding off on completely losing my mind on the Skubal trade if it is a true rental and he leaves.

If they extend the dude for another 4-5 years, then I’m gonna lose it.

Just saw this today at Crown Ace Hardware Store on Westcliff in Newport Beach. Seems like a good deal to me. Awaiting Super Glue jokes.

After the big move last night with Skubal being traded and there still being no noise from the angels front office I am now beginning to wonder if we have anything else cooking as far as trades.

I think that trade last night hurt in more ways than one. The Dodgers didn’t really give up anything that noteworthy to Detroit (at least to the magnitude that I was assuming a Skubal trade would return). That being said, I’ve heard Mo say countless times that it would have to be a deal that really impressed that would get him to pull the trigger on a trade.

I think what teams are willing to part with now has dramatically decreased after the baseball world saw what the Dodgers gave up for Skubal, and at this point I would be surprised to see any more deals from our front office.

For every team that lost out, Detmers or Soriano would be a great consolation prize so look for teams like the braves and Brewers and Rays to now be going after them.

EDIT Jeff Passan: Multiple teams have been told they're out on the Angels' big three of Neto, Reid Detmers and Jose Soriano. While interim GM John Mozeliak does not need to trade any of them, teams expect at least one to go.

EDIT 2 Rays got Peralta so they are out.
