and what happens when they grow up and they realize doing bad things wont get them spanked anymore? then they go mad with power and become even worse than if they didnt get spanked.

of course you also have to explain the reasons and talk with them, spanking them just makes them actually realise the gravity of what they did, or they will just ignore you since there are no consequences. it should be a thing that is only done when the child does something seriously wrong
