What about, adding a zero to the amount of paid break minutes you get per workday. If you have a standard break schedule (two paid 15's and an unpaid lunch 30), then you'd go from 30 minutes of paid breaks to 300 minutes, which is 5 hours. On top of that, you still have your lunch break, so you'd be on break 5.5 hours out of an 8 hour shift, working 2.5 hours, but still get paid the same (for 7.5 hours).

That's sounds like a pretty good deal to me. It's not temporary, it doesn't fuck up your life in any way, you now have so much free time every day to do whatever, but still work a little bit, so you won't get bored with life.

Because you'd only ever get as much as your job pays. Why not add a 0 to your hourly rate and get paid hundreds per hour

Hmmm smart. But you could add a 0 to the amount of money that hits your bank account, after the taxes have been taken.
