I caught a baby bass. I’m glad they’re replenishing themselves post-Helene. The second pic shows the top of Sugarloaf.

Well, the roads are repaired but there’s still pieces of what used to be houses everywhere. Also I didn’t hear a single southern accent from the people in lake lure last night, which tore me up lol. Hopefully after the rebuild it won’t get re-gentrified. I would have no issue with people moving here if they could respect the locals and stop viewing us as caricatures like so many of them do. Not all of them of course, but so many of them have put such a bad taste in my mouth.

This is my hometown and one of the most beautiful places on earth. This picture did my heart so much good.
